Our travel was around Kalipuja 2023 with family.. Our stay at Omega Residency in Darjeeling was a pleasant experience overall, especially considering it’s a budget hotel. The property is located about a 10–15 minute walk from the central Mall area—not exactly on Mall Road, but close enough for an easy stroll. The uphill walk might be a bit tiring for some, but manageable. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable—perfect for Darjeeling’s cool climate. One of the most delightful surprises was a partial view of the majestic Kanchenjunga right from our window. Though not a full panorama, even that little glimpse added a special touch to our mornings. A small thing to keep in mind: the hotel doesn’t have a lift. So if you're carrying heavy luggage or have difficulty climbing stairs, be prepared accordingly. That said, the hotel staff were very helpful and supportive throughout our stay. For a budget-friendly option, Omega Residency checks all the right boxes—good hospitality, comfortable rooms, and a serene location slightly away from the central buzz. It's a great pick for travelers who want peaceful lodging with a hint of mountain magic. Would definitely recommend for budget-conscious travelers.

This property is wildly misrepresented. The photos and listing on ******* are misleading at best. The hotel was hard to access, the sheets and towels were visibly dirty, and there was no soap provided in the room. Worst of all, the pillows were covered in black mold—a serious health hazard that should warrant immediate closure.
The Wi-Fi barely functioned, and the overall condition of the hotel suggests complete disregard for cleanliness or guest safety. This is not a 3-star experience by any stretch. Avoid this property at all costs.

Bad location for tourists -Steep stairs - Leaking roof in the best suite room - No toiletries, not even after repeated requests - Locked me in due to defective door lock - No geyser after 11pm till 7am - Room heater at extra cost - No service boy since 9am in the morning -Reluctant disinterested staff.

Do Not book this hotel
We had an unpleasant stay experience. During the winter season, we faced issues with heating. When we requested the heater, they insisted on an additional charge of Rs 1000. Despite booking a stay with buffet breakfast, the hotel did not provide a buffet; instead, they offered a limited menu with options like puri sabji, paratha, or bread with tea. I do not recommend this hotel due to the rude and unresponsive behavior of the staff.

Clean, central, but can be noisy.
Relatively good location close to down town sites. Clean rooms and hot water. Linens smelled fairly fresh. Screaming child till midnight somewhere downstairs echoed through the hotel. Staff was helpful in general. Buffet breakfast had 3 Indian options. Lots of options for food close by. Ok value for money.
