Was super optimistic but left disappointed
I had super high hopes for this hotel and picked it based on the rating and spent the extra money, getting a nice hotel for the long stay i had. Everything seemed okay to the naked eye when i walked in. Got all my things unpacked and settled, started to make my dinner and sat doen for the night. Then i noticed the floor. It hasnt been vacuumed. Okay.. not awful. Then i smelled something a little sour. Looking all over. Looked under the bed. And omg. There is SO MUCH garbage and trash. There was also a ton of old grapes scattered every where. Then obviously with food on the ground, there were bugs. Dead bugs. Started cleaning up the gross stuff so there wouldn't be more bugs or smells. Theres also a giant spider web in the corner, floor to the wall. Clearly hasnt been touched in a long time. I let her be. Cleaning up some of the dishes and open the dishwasher.... it doesnt look like anyone has opened that in weeks. The dirty old dishes were covereddddddd in mold. Closed that right up, out of sight, out of mind.
I wanted to complain the next morning and get a new room , but i was unpacked and settled and had to be up and out very early. Luckily, the first morning i was able to get to breakfast and they had everything available. The next morning, there were no eggs or sausage. Ugh. I drink LOTS of coffee. On the weekends, they dont offer breakfast until 7am. I had to leave before then, which is fine, but i think they should still offer coffee to guests.

no signage besides room #s on doors in the inside of the hotel. dingy and not very clean. dishes in the room were actually dirty. used coffee cups and plates and silverware. Tried to visit the front desk for add'l towels after a few days of being there. We couldn't get any because "they weren't ready"

Because I had a local address, I was charged an unexpected $600 deposit that took 5 days to be returned into my account. This was not communicated during the booking process. The hotel itself was great for the price. Clean, quiet, bed was comfortable, bathrooms are huge. Staff could have been a little less condescending when I was questioning the unexpected deposit.
