Avoid This Hotel – Dirty Rooms,no room noise instillation, and Shockingly Aggressive Staff! I stayed at the Templemore Arms Hotel for one night, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. The room was in poor condition—there were black stains on the bed sheets, and the walls were paper-thin. I could hear every movement from the room next door, with noise so loud and constant that I could feel the vibrations through the wall. It’s clear the building is extremely dated and completely lacks proper soundproofing. I called reception at 1:00 a.m. asking them to speak to the guests next door. The noise continued for another hour and a half. I called again, only to be told the receptionist knocked on their door but got no answer. At no point did staff take real action to ensure guests could actually sleep—which is the bare minimum any 3+ star hotel should provide. The worst part came the next morning. When I explained the situation to the receptionist, Fiona, she instantly became defensive, argumentative, and downright rude. I calmly asked for compensation, and she responded with aggression and insult. This is not just bad service—it’s horrible aggression towards guests! I then asked to speak to the manager, Catherine, who was more composed but dismissive. She refused to offer any resolution or apology and bizarrely claimed she had “never received a noise complaint in 50 years.” And “we had no other noise complaints from other rooms” implying that I called reception twice at 1am and 2am for no reason?? When I said I would be leaving a review, her response was a sarcastic, “Oh, and we will respond.” Not a single apology. No accountability. Just arrogant staff with extremely poor, defensive attitude. This hotel has serious problems—not just with the quality of the rooms, but with a rude, aggressive, defensive and outdated customer service culture that clearly sees complaints as a nuisance rather than an opportunity to improve. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and respectful hotel to stay, avoid the Templemore Arms Hotel at all costs and stay in a B and B instead! You will get more sleep and the walls will be not as thin as paper!

Very conveniently situated in the heart of a small town in Co. Tipperary. Offer B&B rates . Rooms are adequate. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Restaurant area is in very bad need of refurbishing. Very dark . wood and dark flooring. Food ok but at big city prices. Parking available outside the door which is free overnight.

Situated on the Main Street, this is a gem of a hotel.. The overall presentation of the hotel and the standard of the rooms is extremely high. The cleanliness level within the hotel is clear for all to see and the personal detail in everything the staff do here is amazing. The food is out of this world and competitively priced and you definitely would not be hungry leaving. The staff are a totally dedicated team with the highest level of commitment to their customers. It is an ideal wedding venue from ceremony to after's and no request within reason is too much for the dedicated staff to undertake.. Their level of professionalism and attention to detail is amazing. From the moment you walk into this premises to the end of your stay, the entire focus is on you, the customer. You will find Dan, the owner, with a tea towel over his shoulder assisting the staff on a day to day basis. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and if you ever get a chance to be passing or staying in or around Tipperary, 'The Templemore Arms' is one hotel, along with it's amazing staff that you should definitely not by-pass. Thank you to Dan, James, Martina, Biddy, bar staff, reception staff, cleaning staff, night porter, and anyone I have failed to mention for making our stay and that of our family and friends one that will be talked about for a long time to come... Thank you all, everything you did for us and continue to do for your customers on a daily basis is true commitment to each of your roles in making this hotel 'simply the best'. Lorraine & Simon

I organised my annual cycle trip in Ireland to Abbeyfeale and Templemore this year. My group of 10 stayed in the Templemore Arms Hotel for 4 nights. We were made very welcome by the staff from the moment we arrived. The ensuite rooms are very comfortable and well designed. The breakfasts are freshly cooked and delicious. We had dinner in the hotel on the 4 evenings of our stay. There was a very good selection to choose from and the quality was very good. Great service too. The hotel is a great base for cycling in North Tipperary.
