Great service, perfect rooms for long and short stays. Very close to the jungle, which made it easy for us to start and finish our jungle trek. The staff are super nice!

Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel reataurant is located on the river with great views and also serves a wide range of fairly priced food (both Indonesian and western). The hotel is well connected with trekking agencies in town and also with drivers that can take you back to Medan, meaning you can arrive at the hotel with no prior arrangements for your time in Bukit Lawang. Overall a great and highly recommended place to stay in Bukit Lawang!!

A really cool spot on the edge of the jungle. Super good food, nice rooms and lovely staff. I felt right at home! A great place to stay before and after trekking in the jungle. Tours can be booked through the hotel too. If you arrive by motorbike you have to cross to a narrow bridge in front of the hotel. This is either "great fun" or "terrifying" depending on your perspective. If you're unsure I'm sure you can wheel it across or have the staff give you a hand! 😊 🛵

Love the whole vibe of this place! After 4 hours of dusty rocky minivan road trip, this place relieved my tiring. Foods are amazing! As I normally prefer to explore some authentic local food instead of stick at the guesthouse canteen, the food offered here is out of my expectations. Working stuffs are friendly, commutative and helpful. If there’s anything hesitates my 5 stars review, hot shower is not available. They do have sitting toilets, while you still need to flush by water ladle.

We had a great time staying here, its in the jungle its obviously no western 5 star hotel. But given the location, it was good and everything we needed. The river front bungalows were super basic and could do with a good clean and uplift, but regardless of that the room is big, had air con, bed was comfy, bug nets were provided and we did not get bit which was the main worry! We slept well. The shower was freezing cold, we did have an ant issue but staff sorted it on request and wifi didnt reach room. The jungle treks were great, we booked with tru travels. we saw the orangutan’s, river tubed and explored the bat caves! The restaurant wasnt clean, but had a selection of food on the menu and drinks, we didnt fall sick so all good. Laundry was also available, good price and smelt nice. We had a really good time during our stay here, couldn’t recommend Ricky and the guys who looked after us on our treks enough. It really made the trip :)

This hotel is awful in every way. The room that we were given had no hot water, the tap in the sink did not work, there was no air con, it was dirty, it smelled of damp, there was mould everywhere, the bedding was dirty and the only plug socket was on the other side of the room from the bed with no furniture at all so you could not charge anything as the socket was so high and the cable did not reach the floor. Add to that the service which, had we had none, would have been better than the service we actually received - rude, surly and ignorant. The so called restaurant was also dirty and the food was terrible. Just to add insult to injury, we later realised that the local Monkey Business Tours, who arranged this had charged us about 10 times the actual price to stay here. The web site pictures are a blatant lie. The location is run down verging on derelict. We have been travelling for months and this is by far one of the worst places that we have stayed. DO NOT STAY HERE
