First impression not great, was stood at the bar whilst the barmaid had a very long chat with her friend, not even a hello to acknowledge our presence. The place was empty at this point so it wasn't as if she couldn't see us. However, the room was nice, the hotel has a cosy feel and breakfast was very nice. Breakfast is buffet style so its scrambled eggs but all very tasty, help yourself to toast etc. Large free car park and nice views from the rooms over fields (its very remote). Cleaning lady was lovely when I happened to say we were going to a wedding and it was a long time to the meal after breakfast and she gave me a few packs of biscuits to tide us over.

I was best man at a wedding held at the Red Pump Inn ... needless to say my best man's speech required some last minute tweaking ... Frances & Jonathan could not have been more helpful letting me borrow their PC and printer. The whole wedding stay was a huge success ... all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We loved the beautiful Ribble valley setting and period building

We hired all the accommodation at the Red Pump for a 2 day family wedding in August 2025. It is fair to say that when we hired the rooms (including glamping facilities) we had absolutely no idea just how good the venue would be. Jonathan and Fran could not have done more to make our stay a success, including the fantastic band and Fran’s beautiful singing voice. Guests were all agreed that it would be impossible to beat this fantastic venue, which include outstanding breakfasts.

From checking in the staff are friendly, parking onsite, Breakfast was amazing, hot and everything you need.

The only thing for me was the bathroom wasn't in the room, when I booked it did say private bathroom so presumed it was in the room.

Would definitely stay again.

Lovely room. Buffet breakfast including the hot food which meant soggy bacon and eggs. I'd have loved a freshly cooked option. Staff were rude while picking up room key so won't be staying again

What a little gem of a place this is. Friendly welcome from the owner before being shown to our really quite large bedroom with very comfy bed. We were attending a near-by wedding so didn’t eat here in the evening, but the breakfast the next day was possibly one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The public rooms have a quaint old-worldy feel to them. Thoroughly recommend this place.

We stayed at the inn for the night, with breakfast in the morning. This place was literally perfect, I could not fault it at all. The room was lovely, clean and had a kettle for drinks. The bathroom was also clean. The breakfast was amazing, with a selection of croissants, yoghurt, fruit, Pancakes, and full English style. Coffee was also in a cafetiere and they had decaf tea. I would 100% recommend staying here.
