The lodge was spacious but tatty TLC needed the patio doors leading to outside space was nailed closed, the blinds on most of the windows were broken, there was a foisty smell on arrival, it was adequately clean, the bedding had a lovely fresh clean smell. The lodge sleeps 6 but set up for 4 one of the table chairs was very wobblily. The WIFI is very poor advertised NETFLIX etc however no capacity could only watch the basic free view, as is there isn't a lot to do on the site or around the immediate area ( unless you drive) or your intention is to explore we booked for a chillled few days soaking in the hot tub and watching films so kind of disappointed. The hot hub was fabulous and retained its temp well, however through the night it was windy and the hot tub lid kept blowing open as the hinges were damaged which affected the temp and lots of leaves floating the following morning. ( we closed the tub 4 times during the night ) Never ever known this to happen on our final morning we had to leave before 10am @9.30am the electricity went off we checked it wasn't just trip switch . Cant say if the whole site tripped or whether the lodge was on a timer, either way not great when you haven't been fore warned ( if on a timer )

The caravan was really well laid out the hot tub was good, value for money was excellent, the play park was closed for maintenance which was a bit of a let down but other than that no complaints, no views apart into your advance neighbours caravans but that’s par for the course

This is a wonderful holiday park. We have had our van on here for two years now and we absolutely love it!! Perfect location for accessing Northumberland, which is frankly, Britain’s best kept secret!! Site is very well maintained, varied in style and very quiet. Most older people with some families but not unruly in any way. Lots of great local walks as well. Just a great place to be… it’s our happy place!!

The lodge itself is lovely, well equipped,2 shower rooms, dishwasher and washing machine. Bed comfy.. could do with a couple more towels ..unfortunately the hot tub was filthy ,and very tatty the facias where broken the lid is derelict, and the scum around the edges made it an health hazard .. when you try put top back on you get attacked by nettles. Made decision not to use . (Leaf Lane 13 )

From start to finish this was a fantastic holiday, all of the staff go way above and beyond to ensure that you have a very relaxing break. Marie and mick could not do enough for us, they made our stay so enjoyable that we have decided to buy a caravan on site. The park is very peaceful, with lovely walks, it has a well maintained 18 hole golf course which we played most days, it has a lovely pub on site only 10 minutes walk away, with sky sports TV, serves good food and generates a great atmosphere. Thank you for a fab break, Andrew & Paula x

We had a really lovely long weekend here in a what felt like a brand new caravan. I was lucky enough to win this holiday break with Harrison Holidays for a long weekend at a travel show and we didn't really know what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations. The caravan/lodge was absolutely superb, we stayed on Leaf Drive in a really clean, warm and cosy lodge that had all the amenities we needed. It felt brand new. The beds were so comfy and the sheets and duvets silky soft.. The layout is super with a cosy lounge, great terrace outside and of course a private hot tub. We had a little box of essentials on arrival with things like tea coffee milk, a small fairy liquid and tea towel etc. We even got robes for the hot tub. It was brilliant. The Northumberland coast is just amazing. here's some fab things to do within 10 minutes drive from the lodge; - Explore Alnwick Castle and eat at the Treehouse restaurant - Dinner at the Cook and Barker in (5 mins drive) and the most amazing steak you will ever eat - bred by the owner himself - Walks on Warksworth beach - Lunch at the Whittling house in Alnmouth and walk on Alnmouth beach - Puffin Cruise and seals with Puffin cruises in Amble - £20 for a trip to Coquet island (May is the best time to see them) there were thousands. - Grab lunch at the Fish shack at the end of Amble Harbour - recommend the haddock chowder with fresh mussels and clams Walks along the Northumbleland coastal path Just a lovely place to explore. Percy Wood is a lovely site - especially if you like golf (we don't) but it's really nice for anyone and so close to the coast. We would highly recommend a stay here with Harrison Holidays. Thanks for our wonderful weekend away. Tav and Ben

Booked a 7 day break with Original Cottages. The dining table and comfortable leather look dining chairs shown on Original Cottages website had been replaced by what can only be described as a wooden picnic table with 2 hard wooden bench seats. There was no welcome book resulting in our making phone calls to obtain the correct wi-fi code and get the Smart TV set up, which was not connected to the Internet. The hot tub lid was not secured by straps at the 4 corners, 2 were inaccessible one was missing and one was broken. The property is in an exposed position which is great for the views but not so good if it is windy for an unsecured hot tub lid which went flying across the decking during our stay, not great if you have children or pets on the decking. We did not use the hot tub at all during the 5 days that we endured at the property. There were no cooking utensils at the lodge e.g. knives to prepare food making it impossible to make a decent meal, not that I would want to sit at the 'dining' table for any length of time. On our 5th night the front door would not lock from the inside, we tried to lock with the key from the outside but the key go stuck in the lock resulting in us having to stay overnight in an unlocked property with the keys hanging from the lock clearly visible to anyone passing by. There were other issues, lack of coat hangers, no hairdryer, top section of the freezer packed solid with ice, wine cooler not working, door handle between kitchen and lounge fell off during our stay. Clearly a property that has not been maintained well or managed / checked on a regular basis.

The caravan / Lodge was luxurious with everything you need provided, It was clean spacious and very modern. The Hot tub is secluded and private. The site is excellent with a great bar just a short walk away which also serves food. would highly recommend this place.

We booked this last minute for a quite new year break three adults and three kids along with two small dogs . Lodge was lovely very clean and well equipped with lots of little extras . The park was very quiet . We spent our days out and about and only used the lodge as a base The golf course was not very well kept but that didn't effect our stay. We saw lots of wildlife around the park deer. Bird of prey hare and rabbits. We all enjoyed our stay and would happily return

Fantastic chalet with good views of the golf club. Clean and well presented. Stayed there 4 nights and had a lovely home from home stay. The complementary basket with milk, coffee, tea and biscuits very welcome thank you. The chalet was perfectly situated for visiting the surrounding areas.
