Simple hotel and hostel next to Yogya’s oldest neighborhood. Fun to walk around and explore and get lost in the the narrow streets just south of this place. Breakfasts are small and simple and get repetitive if you’re staying for 3 or 4 (or in my case 7) nights. But nearby are other basic food options and a mini-mart. Also attached to the hostel is a local gym that offers inexpensive classes most days.

I had an amazing stay at Bhumi Hostel in Yogyakarta. I really enjoyed the authentic style, air conditioning, safety and the very friendly staff. It also has a great cafe and restaurant on site with great meals sorted. Also I enjoyed the privacy like at your own house. Would definitely come back here when in Jogja next time!

We had a great week staying at Bhumi. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful, from the moment we got in contact with them to our departure. The rooms are very comfortable & very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed spending time the common spaces outside. Will definitely be back again!
