I was skeptical given the mixed reviews on Google. I waited to late and everything was booked. Selected Tryp by Wyndham and was pleasantly surprised. Has a fun, funky vibe in lobby. Nice Aggie touches. The check in was easy - not effusively nice but not unpleasant. We came back from dorm move in tired and it was happy hour (5-7). The bartenders were great, drinks were good and gave recommendation for Shipwrecked for dinner. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom has a barn door whichever looks great but a little noisy. The air conditioning unit was sufficient. As mentioned in other reviews there is a bit of musty, damp smell but not excruciating - expected worse based on reviews. One wall of the room had Aggie stuff on it and it is on par with other hotels in this price range (maybe a little better). Breakfast was waffle maker, breakfast sandwiches you hear up in microwave, granola bars, yogurt, bagels. I was fine not having any runny eggs or greasy bacon. The coffee was delicious. Overall great value for the cost and i would stay again.

Stayed here for a work week. The entire 2nd floor smells of mold and mildew. My room did as well. I did clean out the a/c vent and that decreased the smell. I woke in the night on my 2nd night with all bedding damp. The A/C simply doesn’t function right. I suspect humidity moisture in the unit. There is a definite issue w the A/C. Lucky for me a cold snap hit and I was able to use the heat. That solved some issues. The “view” from the 2nd floor leaves a lot to be desired. The room itself. The bed is on the softer side. Lots of pillows of various firmness. The room may be a little dirty. There is writing on various surfaces (I suspect from construction..... a year ago). This writing is in pencil and can be cleaned off w water. So I suspect many surfaces are not that clean. I would say if your in town for a activity with not much time spend in the room a good place to stay just not on the second floor. Breakfast is good. Staff friendly but not very helpful. I did not share my issues w the staff. I was too tired and had too much to do to change rooms.

We were here for a football tournament. The hotel itself is CLEAN - Rooms are NICEly decorated with comfy beds, but two BIG issues 1. HUMID in room and 2. Noise control. It is in a good location. There is a bar and I believe a breakfast buffet for $10 but I did not eat there. Only 2 laundry machines for all the teams there so that was not fun. The staff was friendly at check in but this hotel is a lil overrated for what you actually get.

Very convenient location to A&M. Good price for the weekday that I stayed. New hotel in ***** mall location. Non existent WiFi, no help from front desk. Feedback was that WiFi was optimized for Apple products if you had a Mac laptop. I did not. My travel companions could also not connect to WiFi. Heavy carb breakfast and bad coffee. Disappointing. Room is new, very clean and in very good condition. Slept very well.

I've never stayed at TRYP hotel before and I do have to say it's a fairly nice place to stay but I do have a have things that I feel need to be brought up. I've had my fair share of stays at other hotels so what I bring up are things that I feel are standard across the board. First thing I noticed when I settled in was that as far as for channel selection there isn't really any with the exception of channels I don't watch and not sure who else would and your HBO selection which is ok. I normally watch a variety of sites from DTV from channels 242 through 280. Also like to watch Fox news, MSNBC, CNN and those types which I couldn't find. Second on the carpet surrounding the bed it has some pretty bad stains that I would say needs to be cleaned or carpet swapped out. Not sure what the stain is but makes me think twice about walking barefoot on the floors. I have attached a pic. Next thing is the bathroom, I do have to say overall it's a very nice design all around but the thing I like the most after a long day is a long hot shower(with good water pressure) before bed especially on a cold night. The shower was luke warm turned all the way to hot and very minimal water pressure. Last and one I can't say too much about is that you guys don't have a breakfast to offer with the stay other than a few things that the front desk informed me about due to not having the license. Audrey, overall I have to say it's a very nice hotel, guest services are great but the other things I mentioned do need improvement especially for the price I'm paying. I stayed in Tyler the last couple days at the La Quinta Inn and Suites and have continued to stay there because they have everything I have mentioned above and more for the same price. I give them 4 1/2 stars but here unfortunately I can only rate about a 1 1/2. The next time I'm in town I'll think twice before staying again. These again are just my opinions and hope there isn't any offense but I do think there is room for improvement.

Overall good stay, We stayed in CS for a tournament and to visit the A&M campus. The hotel was very modern looking , We were dissatisfied that they are not serving breakfast and the bar is closed due to management changes, We specifically booked here for the breakfast and bar. The beds were not completely comfortable but the room was nice and clean with full direct tv channels and staff was nice and accommodating. I would stay here again when they start serving food and beverages again. The location is close to shopping and food a jack in the box was directly in front of the hotel.

酒店回复: Thank you for reviewing our property! We greatly appreciate your time and insight to our property. We are working hard to have our restaurant and bar up and running for all of guest. Again, thank you for your time. Audrey Whitten General Manager
