I’ve been going to this hotel for 10 years. I’m so glad I got one last trip in as Zoetry and I’m interested to see what the new hotel by Marriott will bring. It’s a special property with exceptional staff. The food overall was excellent for all inclusive and they are very on top of food allergies and try to work with special requests. The hotel was in transition and closed for a few months when we left a week ago. Great stay!

This was the perfect getaway from the stress of Christmas. The room was amazing with high ceilings. The bed was a little firm but comfortable. My husband and I chose to spend the vacation walking on the beach, sitting in the shade of beautiful palm trees, and eating beautiful and flavorful food. My husband loved the French toast. The local wildlife was an unexpected bonus; I fell in love with the coatis freely roaming the property. Although we could not enter the ocean due to a stingray migration, we were lulled to sleep with the sound of the ocean and incredible views.

The hotel has the base to be good, but the good times are already over since min 8 years. Worst service I remember since many decades. It’s a bad 4 star hotel or a good 3 star. Example: I don’t expect in a 5 star that the waiter at dinner tells me that the red wine is out for this night at the restaurant. Also nationality makes a difference in service. No big upfront tip, no good treatment! And even then you have to e.g. get your coffee by yourself (after waiting 15min) Beach way smaller than shown on fotos. Pool freezing cold, room plunge pool can’t be heated —> useless in September until March. SPA super overpriced. 50min massage was offered for 220 dollars. Salt water SPA pool was at 18 degrees instead of mentioned 27-31C On last day we heard that the hotel will be closed.

This resort was just sold to Marriot and will be closed starting December 22, 2023. It would have been nice to know this prior to arrival. They had no staff. The main restaurants were closed most nights. Our chef was also a butler. They removed the pool table and all the books from the library. They replaced all the living room furniture with outdoor furniture. We booked one of the nicest suites on the Impressions side and it had numerous issues including no air conditioning. Overall, it was very sad to see this once beautiful and amazing resort turn into what it was. I only hope Marriot makes it what it once was.

Came here for my honeymoon and my wife and I barely ate because the food was so bad. The resort is nice but very outdated. Wifi did not work during our stay, the room was big and spacious but there was not much to do at the resort... They advertise several restaurants on their website yet there are at most only 2 open at a time and the meals were so bad. Overcooked and dry, lacked flavor, and none of it seemed fresh at all. If you are going to spend the money you would to stay here I would advise spending that money at a different resort.

This property is an absolute mess, avoid at all costs! The floors were dangerously wet, the furniture is falling apart, the food is very poor in quality, we had no Internet, left the next morning upon arriving it was so bad, don't do it!
