i have stayed at this hotel many times in my travels. it’s quiet, clean with friendly staff. in Courtenay this is my place to stay. I shop in Courtenay so i use this hotel to stay while in Courtenay. comfortable too

Beds were comfortable and sanitizers were provided. The biggest complaint is the stained, unattractive carpet that needs proper cleaning. It appeared like something was spilled or a dog did 'something' on it. Quiet for sleeping was good. Service was good. Breakfast was acceptable but could be improved.

This was a great place to stay in advance of our ferry journey back to the Sunshine Coast. Good position for Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland and a chance to briefly explore the area. It's not opulent but clean and comfortable. Good access to vehicle. It was hard to find accommodation at short notice and this property stepped up. Given inflation and high costs associated with other hotels/motels, costs were not out of line.

Horrible service gentleman at the front desk was very rude and judgemental. We just just finished a long day at work in construction and we were stuck in town due to a forest fire he refused us service due to our appearance and claimed I vandalized my own credit card in an attempt to commit a fraudulent charge.

Our room was a deluxe 2 queen bed room. It had a good size tv, microwave, and nice size bar fridge. We were on the quiet side of the building so we appreciated that as there is a Ambulance station across the street on the other side of the building. Both beds were tilted towards the head of the bed, so our feet were quite a bit higher then our heads. Bring your own pillows if you want a comfortable one. If you want nice toilet paper and Kleenex bring your own, as both are very thin and crunchy. Our air conditioner was not working. The controller knob did very little when turned. The toilet in our bathroom was constantly running (water) . The free breakfast was ok. It had boiled eggs, fried sausages, cereal, fruit, bread, yogurt, fruit juice, coffee with packaged powder cream. If you get a good deal price wise with this motel , It might suffice for a night or 2. But $150 a night as we paid , Is way to high for what you get or do not get. I am afraid we will not be back , and will not be advising our relatives or friends to stay here.

The motel is located near downtown and the main intersection. It was clean with lots of parking. The breakfast had some good choices. I will stay there again. There is some space for oversize vehicles.

Hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Bed was comfy but pillows were too big. If you sleep with a thin pillow, you best bring your own! Freezer in the bar fridge needed a good defrosting as we could hardly fit anything in it due to ice build up.

The room was dungeony. We booked a Queen room and got a double. No extra pillows and the ones in the bed were hard as a rock. Glad we only stayed for one night, no way we could have done 2. Would suggest attention to details in the room. Bathroom shower and walls could have used a better clean.
