We had a very fun and interesting day tour with Tomaž, exploring the local area, tracking bears and wolves. Just the right amount of walking for the kids and s well as the beautiful views and awe inspiring environment, some highlights were: - seeing fresh bear and deer tracks - seeing recent wolf tracks - checking out the footage from a hidden wildlife camera showing bears, deer, boars, owls, chamonix, badgers and foxes from the previous nights footage -a beautiful locally sourced lunch at a nice viewpoint (and a beer for the parents!) -a walk on the the white tailed eagle trail learning about this fantastic bird of prey Tomaž was an informed and caring guide and a lovely guy to spend a few hours with.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at Bearlog Hostel, but Katja at reception made my trip so amazing with her great recommendations for food and activities- I stayed an extra night because I had so much fun. Easy to park, great access to bear watching and hiking, and good breakfast and wifi Thank you!
