Lovely break at this beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. It has such a relaxed welcoming vibe and the staff are super friendly and efficient. Food excellent, room excellent and great attention to detail. The dog bed, bowls and snacks in the room were greatly appreciated by our pampered pooch! I loved the environment friendly little glass milk bottles on the tea tray! We will be back and I highly recommend

We have just returned from a fantastic one-night stay at the Hunters where we were warmly welcomed. Our room (no 6) was great - huge bathroom with shower and bath, comfortable bed and sofa nook where you could read or watch TV, very quiet at night. Food was great - beautifully cooked breakfast with lots of choices, and a lovely fish and chip supper (with shanty crew in aid of the RNLI). Staff were all friendly and very helpful (e.g. directions for good local walks). We hope to return!

Nice pub, clean and friendly atmosphere especially now it's not being run by the National Trust. Helpful staff and a good location for a quick walk etc. My only complaint is the fact they do Dual pricing I bought 4 drinks for £24 but other "local customers" were paying a fraction of what we got charged. Puts a bad taste in your mouth!

My husband and I, along with our two young children, stayed for one night in December. The room was great—clean, tidy, and with lovely, comfortable beds. We ate from the festive menu in the evening and also had breakfast, both of which were excellent quality. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was especially nice to see locals using the hotel as well as guests from all over the country. The location is wonderful—peaceful and secluded, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. We also took a walk to the beach via a footpath accessible from the hotel garden, which the children really enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly be back. Thank you!

Fabulous short break at Hunter's Inn with Mark and Debbie Walton. Hunter's Inn has been beautifully renovated throughout, has a great menu with lovely food, attentive and friendly staff, cosy seating with a lovely fire, a resident elderly peacock, beautiful views and wonderful autumn walks to the nearby coast and along the coastal path towards Woody Bay and Lee Abbey. Hunters is in a hidden and peaceful spot, on just one walk along the adjacent bridleway through the woods I met a Red Deer doe and heard tawny owls calling. Exploring the nearby countryside was fun, Lynton and Lynmouth (great shops and cafes) are nearby with Watersmeet and the Valley of the Rocks and much more to see even on such a short break. Its wonderful to see this super old pub spring back to life! Watch out for music, events, Santa runs and much more as the Waltons find their feet! Thank you so much, we will be back x
