This is a lovely, simple place, full of character. Each room has the name of a grape variety in keeping with this area full of bodegas. You will receive a lovely welcome and great service from your delightful host. Breakfast again is simple but very nice. The best thing was that we dined in the restaurant and had the best steak since we were in Argentina, perfectly cooked. We shared starters and the steak which was just the right amount for us and washed it down with a wine from their bodega. Riquissimo!

About an hour south of Burgos Spain is a charming inn and winery. The food is amazing. Try the cod stuffed peppers for an appetizer. Salads are terrific and main dishes include sea bass, baby lamb chops and various steak options. The red wine is an international winner but the white is very good too. Staff are attentive and give good recommendations. Tours of the winery are available and you will want to sample and take several bottles with you. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Definitely our go to place on route from Portugal to Germany.
