I'm not one for going to hostels but I can confidently say that my stay was amazing. I stayed in a Landpod for 2 nights, and I can't recommend this experience enough. It felt so nice having the Landpod and being able to wake up in the morning to a lovely view of Wales, and the people were all very pleasant and the staff were awesome. Not to mention the facilities were off the scale good for a hostel, I've always thought hostels were run down, and this is the cream of the crop, it's such a pleasure to have stayed here. I spoke to my friend about going back, and will be soon organising a trip back to the YHA Brecon Beacons as it was just way to good. And the price was brilliant if anything they should charge more in my opinion, honestly a gem . Recommend to your friends once you stay, you won't regret it.

Firstly the hostel is in an amazing area, ideal for walking and exploring and the staff are wonderful. Downstairs is a cosy lounge with a real fire, and good kitchen/ dining facilities as per usual in YHAs. It's an old farmhouse so the floors in the bedrooms and corridors creak, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. My only gripe were the beds. This is the first YHA I've ever had a bad night's sleep. We stayed in Chestnut which has 2 bunks. Because of the coombed ceiling there is no head room to sit up and climbing up to the top bunk is tricky as the sink is in the way. The bottom bunk is so close to the floor you have to roll out and the base is way past it's best. I'd recommend , when refurbishing, getting 2 single beds in there and it will a great room for 2.

The staff are welcoming, friendly and the hostel itself is very clean, spacious and informative. The dorms are also spacious, clean and peaceful. The room lights are 100 watt bulbs, way too intrusive. The hollow fibre pillows are ok, rubber coated cheap foam mattress is adequate. Duvets are heavy tog, so you tend to sweat. My roommate and I left the window open during the night for fresh air. They really could do with some air freshener, lockers, reading lights, sockets near the bedside and curtains to keep out the light. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hostels on every continent and this hostel is very ‘old school‘. It could easily benefit with routers throughout the property for internet access. No wi fi in the dorms so you’re forced to go into communal spaces if you want to communicate with the outside world. This really is a pain as communal places are busy in the evening. If you want peace and quiet you need to go to the dining area after 8:00/30 pm and use a laptop there, though the internet speed is compromised. If only all travellers had dorm etiquette. Some just have to rustle bags, turn lights on/off, unzip, let doors slam, want to engage as they’re attention seekers, are needy and have very little social awareness! The surroundings are idyllic as you’d expect being in the Brecon Beacons. The car park is always full, really needs extending. Bathroom, shower and toilets are impeccably clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, fridge freezer, two sinks and a gas stove. There’s a menu where you can order breakfast and evening meals. A fridge full of beers, ciders, soft drinks and snacks. I was self sufficient and took my own food. It is a YHA and not a backpackers so significantly different to a hostel I guess? Air B’n’B, Booking dot com are far too expensive in this area. The hostel is very reasonably priced and definitely worth a visit if you’re a lover of the outdoors and exploration.

酒店回复: thanks for your feedback. There are always things to be learnt from every guest and lighting is definitely on our agenda Our wifi is through starlink which unfortunately is difficult to extend to all our rooms as we have very thick walls being a 17th century farmhouse. i hope you still managed to enjoy your stay

The location was fantastic with walks on the doorstep and a bus stop up the road. It was also very close to the four waterfalls trail at only 20 mins drive away. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the vibe was relaxed and homely. I've stayed at hotels in the area before but this one is by far the best. The land pods are great with everything you could need and more.

这家 YHA(布雷肯比肯斯)刚刚翻新后重新开业。
