Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Alonissos and the accommodation was generally very good. Our hostess looked after us very well. Very clean and well decorated and everything worked very well in Studio 1. Plus a great balcony to take in the views and consider which taverna or restaurant to eat at during the evening or which beach to visit tomorrow. The negative - we suggest a bit of a 'health warning' for Studio 1 in descriptions. It is located above a bar which sometimes insists on playing loudish repetitive music until after midnight - not every night, but this led to several nights where sleeping was difficult. Definitely not what we expected! Other apartments were located slightly away from this position and may not have been as adversely affected. In summary, the place is great, we enjoyed our stay - just be aware, it is not going to be totally peaceful in Studio 1.

Very nice studio in traditional decorative style but with all features anyone would need. Only gripe was that on occasions the electric was either deliberately switched off or there was an intermittent fault with our room and the room next door. Not a big issue but did have a few minutes here and there in the dark or without any air conditioning. Property is in the old village where there are numerous restaurants to choose from and a few bars. All very peaceful but the village gets busier in the evening when more tourists come up for a look around. Nearest beach is a 25/30 minute walk down a long and steep road but was worth it at the end. Found the Meltemi beach bar and restaurant to be very good with everything you need and kind and attentive staff. Definitely a taxi back up the hill but noticed lots of scooters, buggies and hire cars for those wishing to hire a mode of instant transport. Charter cruise 'Queen Elisabet II' from Skiathos to Alonnisos took about 2 hours 15 min but was comfortable. Would recommend for a chilled few days away but it's not easy to get about if you have any walking difficulties.
