It's not often we award a bed and breakfast full marks but Wychwood House with its lovely hosts Lee and Mherly goes above and beyond. So many extras added to our room including mini-fridge, fresh fruit, homemade cakes, selection of sweets and even a decanter of port! Super comfy beds and cooked breakfast fit for royalty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the delightful village of Penally. Thank you both so much, we are already looking forward to returning next year. Love from Kevin and Teresa.

Wychwood House is a real hidden gem and we would seriously recommend staying at this very comfortable, well equipped and quite delightful Bed and Breakfast. We had a lovely double de luxe room with the most comfortable bed and pillows we have stayed in for a long time. The room had a shared balcony with an upmarket seating area and a distant view of the sea. The room is light and airy with large windows overlooking the beautifully tended garden, plenty of outside seating, including two hammocks for guests use. The breakfasts are delicious with a good choice and Lee, the Host, will happily cook anything you might fancy from a full English to a smoked kipper. You can walk to Tenby through the golf course, easily accessible along a short path from the house and takes approximately 25 minutes. You can also access the quiet and peaceful beach at Penally in about a 5 minute walk. You will also find two pubs serving meals a few minutes walk away. And, for those arriving on motorbikes the owners are happy to house these vehicles in their personal garage.

Highly recommended! Excellent location with easy access to beaches and coast path, with Tenby only a mile away. Perfect for walking, running and swimming, we had a super time. Friendly, relaxed hosts made us feel very welcomed. It was nice to get to know them, but no pressure to stay chatting. They had great local suggestions of places to go and eateries. Unbeatable (seriously!) breakfast ranging from fruit, yoghurts, pastries to various delicious cooked breakfasts! Shared breakfast table with other guests was nice and sociable. Complementary Welsh cakes in our room too! Secure off road parking. Our room was immaculately clean as was the dining area.

The best B&B that we have stayed in, and there have been quite a few! Our room was on the first floor & the stairs themselves are quite a feature. The room was spacious with an excellent bathroom. There was no bath but a shower cubicle with a very efficient overhead shower. The room had satellite tv, excellent wifi, & a view of the rear garden with the sea in the distance. The usual tea & coffee were provided & a nice gesture of a selection of fruit. There was a shared balcony to sit out on & relax. The host Lee & his wife were extremely friendly & helpful. Lee has a wealth of knowledge of the area, places to visit & of good walks. There was quite a choice for breakfast & cooked items were done to order. The quality of the food was excellent. Breakfast is taken around a communal table & although you could come down to suit yourself, we all seemed to arrive together! There were 2 other couples staying (they only let out 3 rooms) & we all enjoyed chatting with one another. The location is ideal for Tenby with a local bus service, a rail station within a short walk & the park & ride is about a mile away. There are 3 pubs within walking distance which all do evening meals. We were only sorry that we had to come home!

I was looking at staying at St. Brides Hotel in Saundersfoot but was overruled by my wife in favour of Wychwood House and was not disappointed. Lee and Mherly are brilliant hosts and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Penally was a great location for our walking holiday and Lee offered very helpful advice on places to visit and to dine. We had the most relaxing 6 days with lovely views from our spacious and very comfortable room and a wide variety of breakfast choices and plenty of room to park at the front and side of the house. We have no hesitation in recommending the WH brand of hospitality and comfort.
