I would recommend sleeping in your car before staying here. Myself and 2 friends tried to stay here. The pictures that they display on all websites are extremely dated and do not show the up to date state of the place. We were in room 5. You had to walk up two very dangerous flights of stairs to get to this room, the door was no bigger than a cupboard door, it was not a fire door and barely shut. One good shove and it would open. The room itself was dated, dirty, stained mattresses and sheets. The place also just didnt feel very safe. We were gonna just deal with it and stay the night. On our return, we were greeted with a pub full of people, we came through the door and was very rudely told to leave as they were closed, when we explained we were stayed they let us through. After this, we were talking to the women behind the bar regarding the room and i have never been so rudely spoken to in my life, to the point that they thought it was funny to explain how the building was so ******* and how we were going to die in that room and then continued to threaten us with an intimidating amount of people watching the other side of the bar. With this, we packed our bags and left. At 11pm we would of much rather have stayed in our car or find somewhere last minute then spend one more minute. In my mind the place is not fit for people to stay and should be closed down as a bnb establishment.

Room was small but ok for me on own.staff not very welcoming.bar floor and bar counter always felt sticky/tacky. It was a very hot july/aug last year so asked if they had a fan they said only 3 but staff are using them. Breakfast was nice but you had to wait for table because local fisherman/family would come in for there breakfast and had wait for them stop talking before actually being able to order food.

What a sh**hole.Bedroom a joke. A bottle of water was left to fill the kettle , it wasn’t even a new bottle !! Glass in window cracked. Beds bloody awful , very cheap ikea type , feet hanging over the end of bed. Relatively clean , needs total renovation. Would never stay there again.

We Only drank there for most of the week around Easter. Friendly staff, central to the quay. Karaoke on Saturday is v popular and a hoot. Good Guinness, pool room and very popular with locals young and old. Worth a visit….just follow the noise

Awesome service staff very helpful and polite. family run buisness the price includes a breakfast my daughter and u loved it. We are coming back.next year and hopefully be staying for 2 weeks. Thank you for everything l. Bed are also comfy..

Always a very budget place to stay but breakfast was a real treat, sadly the chef has left, the service and breakfast has gone down hill. It was a good era, not anymore. No good morning, no happy chatty faces, no welcome, no aprons or protective clothing , sorry but bottom of the list now.

Rate you 5 out of 5 from the first moment we stepped through the door. Meet by the landlady showed us to are rooms & the bathroom Maybe the best welcome I've ever had had drinks from bar shared us with information were to go to eat drink taxis to get to football & back lovely lady

Whilst on holiday in Weymouth in October 2023, me the wife and our 19 year old son who has autism one evening decided just to take a walk off the beaten track and came across the Sailors Return, the landlord was bery welcoming and friendly. The pub has a jukebox and a pool table. Its very clean and tidy.

A lovely and very quiet pub in the town and very close to the harbour which was a welcoming find considering how busy the bars on the harbour were. Taking into account of the location the drinks were reasonable and we paid £9.80 for a pint of Carling and a large glass of Pinot. The bar staff were friendly and even smiled and chatted when a local came in with his proud story of a low key encounter with the law.
