We were here in 2018 and it really is an interesting place to stay. The buildings are beautiful and our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel seems to cater for three different categories of guest; convalescence, religious retreat and 'regular' guests. The Panorama Restaurant is still like a middle management canteen and the food was ok rather than memorable but the star was the waiter (Franz?). He speaks excellent English, is friendly and interesting - a real Bavarian character who would love to greet more English speaking guests. Breakfast was standard Continental and good. Given the nature of the convalescence guests, were surprised and how many small tripping hazards there were, such as into and out of our bathroom and in the corridor.
