I liked Jurna Recreation Farm. Located in Upa, about 6 kilometres from the main island town of Kuressaare, this rural accommodation is quite special. Our one bedroom apartment was in a thatched house shared with 2 other apartments. The room had 2 toilets, a kitchenette and a double plus a single bed. Breakfast and dinner was provided in the main house by the ageless owners who have owned the property since the 1970’s. Food was wholesome and alcohol can be purchased at dinner time. The accommodation is best utilised if you have a vehicle. It is a 75 minute walk to Kuressaare, a 10 Euro, Bolt ride or the cheaper bus option (2 Euro) that runs about every 90 minutes. The bed was reasonably comfortable, wifi was sporadic and phone internet reception moderate/poor. Heating is provided by bar heaters. A washing machine is available as is a washing line. The garden was a highlight. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed ourselves.
