The house we stayed in has beautiful woodwork and was spacious but also a bit treacherous with a stairway with no handrail and a step up part way into the living area. The beach is lovely and it was not touristy when we there (during heavy rainfall). Howler monkeys entertained us frequently. The maid did a very good job. Like many Costa Rican properties the road in was quite bad. The kitchen had few of what I consider essentials so cooking was challenging but not impossible. The shower pressure was less than satisfactory but the water was hot. We would stay there again but hope to find a better equipped kitchen and ample water pressure.

We rented the big house for three night. Getting there is a bid hard because there’s no sign on the main street and the roads are harder to drive because of all the holes in the muddy road. If you pass the supermarket, turn the net road left (yes, that small dirt road, to get there). The house has everything you need to just stay there for a couple of days. The beach is just 5 minutes walk. And in the area there are other things to do like surfing lessons and yoga. On the main road there is a great pizzaplace nearby and a supermarket. (Not super big but oke for some shopping)

The Villas feature lovely gardens and well-kept surroundings. A/C offered only in Primary bedroom. Our villa had lenty of fans, a clean pool, and many amenities throughout. Staff on site were courteous and helpful. Neighbors were also very nice and friendly. On the other hand, the property was difficult for us to find and the roads leading to the property were not yet paved; thus, a 4x4 would be highly recommended. I would stay at Villas Argan again without reservation.
