A luxurious and charming country hotel with a welcoming and friendly host, delightfully decorated and comfortable rooms and excellent food. The breakfast was absolutely superb with local produce, perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

The staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was consistently excellent with plenty of choice for the whole family – so good infact that we kept going back! Breakfast was amazing with something for everyone. I’m not vegetarian but would happily have the veggie breakfast again; the kippers were excellent and my husband loved the full English. Even our teenager chose salmon every day. The fillet steak is a must (the best in East Anglia) along with the cod and linguine. The cottage’s accommodation was beautiful - with Elemis products and constant hot water feeling like a real luxury. There were a few minor issues, but these didn’t detract from an otherwise fantastic stay and the owner is already renovating and addressing them. Although we didn’t take our little pup, it is dog-friendly too, which is a lovely touch. Highly recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch today but were tempted by the Tapas options instead, which the chef did absolutely beautifully. Fresh dressed salad, gorgeous garlic prawns, whitebait and scallops. The food was faultless and the staff lovely, attentive and extremely helpful. Well done Scarborough Hill and all you amazing staff

Checked the times for breakfast this morning, was told Brunch served until 11. Turned up at 10:35 to be told "sorry, there's too much in the oven to cook brunch!" Such a shame as we had come out especially. I don't think we will return after such a poor experience.

We went for a birthday celebration on Saturday 18th October 25 in the evening. The food was excellent as were the staff and the whole ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would not hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you!

Breathtaking scenery with a real serene abiance and a fanstatic welcome to the hotel and area. Our room was beyond expections as was the food and reception. If you are looking for a cosy tranquil get away this is for you. We will be booking again. Paul & Emz

Just 1 night was not enough! Excellent in every way, beautiful from the grounds, the hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, truly recommend. The building has quite a history to it and all the rooms and cottage’s have or are being redecorated to a very high standard. We loved it and when we return the restaurant and bar will be open, hopefully May time. Abbey was there to greet us and Allison served a delicious breakfast. Lovely Girls ❤️ Next time we are staying longer to enjoy the grounds and a nice glass of bubbly in the bar Thankyou from John and Lesley Ryan See you soon xx
