The hotel is not maintained and seem to have staff on contract though they were helpful. The towels and bedsheets are worn out. Condition of the room needs major work . The windows of our room which faced the back were dirty. The corridors were not cleaned well. They only serve breakfast which they get from somewhere as they were not ready to even give eggs to order only boiled eggs. Parking is limited and since it is on the main road, it can be challenging to reverse. For the price they charge totally avoidable. They do not serve lunch and dinner though they advertise they have a restaurant. The Ac in the restaurant was not working too. They keep bottled water on every table but it is chargeable . Highly avoidable. Please don't book because of the name.

The location is central in the town which is good (walk to the caves) and bad (traffic and chaotic). The premium room was big. But, the hotel service was very bad: No room service! Said No with straight face to the request for a tea at 7:30 am (Breakfast starts at 8 am)!! The in room lighting is terrible, less, mix of white and yellow light. No hand towels given. The first hotel room I saw where there is only shower in the bathroom and no tap! This hotel must have been good in the past, well designed and well appointed furniture etc. But no maintenance has made it average now.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. On arrival I tried to have dinner but was told that only about half a dozen suitable items were available from the 8 page menu. Next morning there was not buffet breakfast a selection of 6 items offered. On the final morning the buffet breakfast was back. Now there may have been some explanation for this but none was given. The guy running the restaurant didn’t seem at all interested in his job. By comparison the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. And the place is walking distance to the main sites.

Clarks Inn (Badami) – Stay from 20th to 22nd October 2025 Our stay at Clarks Inn, Badami was honestly quite disappointing. We were a group of five adults and one child, staying in two rooms — one double and one triple occupancy. While the staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help, it was pretty clear they were doing their best under tough circumstances. They were polite and kind, but that’s about the only positive part of our experience. The property itself really let us down. It’s poorly maintained — nothing like what you’d expect from a hotel carrying the Clarks Inn name. The bathrooms were dirty, the sink in one room was blocked, and there were cockroaches inside the room. One of the bathrooms didn’t even have a single hook or place to hang a towel, which was not only inconvenient but also surprising for a hotel of this category. The windows were filthy, and overall, the place just felt neglected. They did give us a small TV in the rooms, but honestly, if the TV is so tiny that it’s barely useful, then why bother providing it at all? It just adds to the feeling that little attention is paid to comfort or quality. Breakfast was a total mess — barely any choice, poor coordination, and only a couple of people managing everything. We were told the restaurant was short-staffed, which also meant hardly anything was available for dinner. We had to step out both nights just to find a proper meal. For the price we paid, the experience was nowhere close to acceptable. It honestly felt like a basic lodge charging premium rates. We walked away quite disappointed, and I really hope the management takes serious steps to fix things — this property has potential, but it badly needs attention, cleaning, and proper staffing.

Really poor service . The hotel has deteoriated in quality . While the food was better than usual , the staff serving the food was terrible . Inexperienced and no clue what good service was about. Compound that with torn towels in the bathroom and it's loud , noisy and terrible location right in the middle of the city , it's an avoidable hotel

I recently stayed at Grand Clarks Inn in Badami, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts a modern design while reflecting the local culture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The location is convenient for visiting nearby attractions, including the famous rock-cut temples. Overall, I highly recommend Grand Clarks Inn for anyone looking for comfort and hospitality in Badami.

Perfect location but service is really lousy. The sanitaryware in the bathrooms are stained. The room service forgets to bring the order. The restaurant attached to the hotel, The Bridge, had lazy servers. It is small and so when breakfast is served the guests have to wait next to the occupied tables for the occupants to finish eating so that they can get seated. The waiters at the restaurant too forget the orders.

It was a substandard experience, the hotel is unhygienic. I got seriously sick with a stomach bug after eating at this hotel. Poor condition of bed linen. Only location is central, and room size is good. The hotel does not have a bar or a sitting lounge worth its name
