Originally booked and paid in Sonders 'Sister' apartment in Seattle but moved by Sonder when original apartment was sold. Arrived at new apartment to find new booking not recognized. Almost impossible to find someone prepared to help. Only suggestion was to try somewhere else? Maybe fine place to stay when things work out but not worth taking the risk. Had to find last minute alternative accommodation after booking and paying for 'Pivot'. Sonder very difficult to deak with, little chance of seeing any refund. Feel as if our money was 'stolen'

I've had good luck with Sonder, but this didn't feel up to the standard I'd expect. This might be a good option for a backpacker, or someone needing a cheap, one-night stay, but we weren't comfortable here. After the first night of a weeklong stay, I tried to cancel. The room faced the freeway and it was just too noisy, even with the earplugs, sound machine, and A/C on. Sonder wouldn't let me cancel, referring me to their disclaimer about noise when I booked. There was also a router or something mounted right over the bed that emitted a bright flashing light.. all night long. I never got a good night's sleep the whole time. The room itself was clean and as-promised, but the freeway noise and smelly hallways and stairwells were gross. The rugs need to be cleaned and the stairway smelled like a homeless person had peed in it, which was probably the case; this is a gritty part of Seattle and this Sonder doesn't feel like a reprieve from it. The second day we were there the fire department evacuated the building, for some reason. A few days later the security door wouldn't work and no one could get in or out. I alerted Sonder to this and someone came within 30 min to escort people via the stairwell to their floors. The day before we left, the alarm in the lobby was beeping incessantly and never stopped. It all felt very confusing.

As a solo female traveler, safety is important to me. This building is new, clean, safe, and secure. A code is required for the building, the elevator, and the room. The room was clean and had all the essentials. The bed was great! My only recommendation to Sonder would be to increase the time on the bathroom lights timer. They turn off after 10 minutes and if you’re taking a longer shower… you get plunged into darkness… which is slightly upsetting. However, a quick arm out the shower gets the motion detector to turn the lights back on. Other then that, the place was perfect! Lots of shops, restaurants, and a boutique or two all less then 5 mins walking. And the Washington convention center was a 4 minute walk! Just perfect!

The building was very well maintained overall. My room was excellent! I found it hard to even think of a complaint. Pretty convenient location too. 15-20 minute walk to Pike Place and close to alot of public transit stops. Overall a great experience with Sonder! Will definitely consider them again.

It’s absolutely lovely, lots of places to grab a quick bite or a nice dinner, walking distance to Pike’s ( bit of a walk- but doable) Easy to public transportation. The room was super clean, well appointed, and pretty much has everything you need. Great bath and bathroom. Laundry available, bag storage if needed. We were there for a Virginia Mason Hospital surgery, short easy walk. I was alone most of the stay and was secure and comfy. Will come back for a fun trip next time. Had a wonderful stay.

We had a super great experience! Easy check in, great amenities, very comfortable room, and loved access to the roof top. Was able to find street parking in the area. Would def recommend and would love to stay there again.
