Ordered a pint of Guinness, it arrived with a 5mm head, I did not try it , I asked for a better pint, I was then told there was nothing wrong with it , I said do you drink Guinness, I received a blank expression, and was told again it's perfect, I said I only drink Guinness, I'm 62 years old, it's not right, to which I was told for the third time, ITS Perfect, even by the 23 year old head barman, It's obvious I do not know what I'm talking about, I left and went to the Reed Arms, where the staff obviously know what threre talking about, God help us. Ps, I left the Guinness. Don't bother going cause they couldn't care less.

酒店回复: Dear Desmond G, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. We take pride in serving quality drinks and providing excellent customer service, so it's disappointing to learn that we fell short in your case. Your comments regarding the Guinness have been noted. I personally drink Guinness and quite often in my own pub. I take offence to your comment that my staff despite their age don't know what they are talking about. They are all trained and know when a pint is not up to the required standard. So as you not so politely said God help us and enjoy your visits at any other pub in town except here. Best regards, Gary Steven

What a cracking Christmas get together at The Victoria , just perfect. Mandy and her team behind the bar were welcoming and attended to our every need, the pub felt very festive and the table for 15 was decorated beautifully, creating a lovely festive atmosphere. Amber and her team in the kitchen , delivered beautifully presented and delicious meals and the whole table at the same time. There was a good selection of starters, mains and desserts on the festive menu which had a good choice of meals and catered for everyone’s tastes , and at a reasonable price . Overall it was a brilliant evening, great service, delicious food and a cosy Christmas vibe, Well done all at The Vic. We will be back

Wow what a find. We had lunch of fish and chips with drink included for under £9 !! Mandy was excellent with good customer service skills. Food was freshly cooked and homemade crumble was too outstanding

This is a pub with 5 rooms upstairs. In need of a refurb. Open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights with loud music. Punters hang about outside until at least 12.30am. Outside of pub opening hours access is via a metal fire escape. Good quality tea and biscuits.

Cheap accommodation. Immediately, on entering premises realised I made a mistake. Threadbare, run down rooms above noisy pub. No soap in room. Pressure taps noisily spat-out water. Kettle and tea/coffee in room. Terrible mattresses - horrible night’s effort to sleep. Stayed elsewhere 2nd night. As with Burnham the town, it’s best days are well and truly gone.

Pub staff friendly & helpful. Place loved by locals. Decent food. Buzzing. So it is a brilliant pub BUT rooms 3 & 4 have shared bathroom. No chair, Of three rack lights only one working. So as a hotel just reaching the grade. OK for very short stay. Won't be going back.

Just had the yummiest roast pork dinner at the Vic. Good plateful, cauli cheese is fab and a nice variety of veg. Staff are all very friendly and I’m sure the landlord was on Brookside back in the day. Absolutely stuffed now and looking forward to a Sunday afternoon nap 😴
