The staff was nice enough. The room was very affordable and clean at first glance but I caught sight of multiple bugs and it made me uncomfortable. The WiFi was completely useless and would not work with any of my devices. My stay was mostly suitable.

I stayed at WoodSpring Suites Bakersfield East on 12/1/25 and had an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience. When I arrived at approximately 11:00 PM, the hotel doors were locked for after-hours check-in. I used the phone to contact the front desk, and although the receptionist answered, she informed me it would take her several minutes to come down from the third floor. I stood waiting for quite a long time outside the locked entrance. Unfortunately, there was nowhere to sit while waiting, and because I wear a prosthetic brace, standing for that length of time caused considerable discomfort.
I was given Room 332 on the third floor, which is an extremely long walk from the elevator. The room itself looked older and worn, and the armchair had noticeable upholstery missing. There was loud noise coming from other rooms. The room heater was extremely loud, to the point that I was unable to sleep with it running despite the cold temperature. I had no choice but to turn it off.
At about 6:25 AM, the fire alarm suddenly went off. I got up quickly to check for danger, and the alarm and flashing lights continued for several minutes, stopped, then sounded again. When I called the front desk, I was told someone had “tripped the alarm.” This was very stressful and disrupted what little rest I had.
Overall, the long wait to enter the building, difficulty with mobility, worn room conditions, loud heater, and the early-morning fire alarm made this stay extremely uncomfortable.

Front office all personnel greet you with a smile and are very polite.
All cleaning staff are polite and friendly.

I've been there quite a few times couple of times about a bad experience people partying late at night and not being able to sleep but most of the time everything goes as planned especially my last trip they made up for everything are you recommend this hotel

This a 'no frills', basic hotel. Rooms were generally clean, including bathroom. The room interior could use a update, but for the price I paid for 2 nites, I couldn't complain. The plus is having a full size apartment refrigerator/freezer and a 2 burner glass stove top. I travel with a ice cooler and plenty of road food, so the fridge was a big plus. If you travel with a frying pan or two, you would be all set.
