We were looking for somewhere we didn’t know for a mini break after a bereavement and we chose Calne and the Heritage B+B almost at random. How lucky were we! We got the warmest welcome from Ellie and her partner (plus really friendly dogs), who are all really lovely. Ellie has poured her heart and soul into renovating her wonderful home over the last few years and she now brings the same care and attention to providing for her B+B guests. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is of the highest quality. We had three fantastic nights sleep, the house is warm and exceptionally well appointed, the breakfasts (especially the sourdough toast and the omelettes!) are to die for - plus by following Ellie’s advice on places to visit we got to know the area a little. The whole three days were a real tonic and we are so grateful. Thank you!

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guest house. The hosts are the most wonderful people who go out of there way to make you feel at home and welcome. The bedroom was immaculate and the breakfast was amazing with good quality ingredients and homemade bread and marmalade, fantastic x Andy, Chef from London x

A wonderful stay - clean, cosy and spacious! Made to feel very welcome in this beautiful house. Nothing was too much trouble and we will look to stay here again when next in the area. Save room at breakfast for the homemade sourdough! We stayed in the Gothic Room - beautiful high ceilings and a super comfy bed too.

Ellie and Rixie were perfect hosts, two genuine kind souls! Their invaluable local knowledge will give any new visitors to Calne a good head start for seeing the best of what the area can offer to make the most of the where to go, what to see/do, how best to get around, best restaurants to eat etc. The place itself was impeccably clean, welcoming, and I felt instantly at home; my room was comfortable. The breakfast was flavoursome, all down to the best ingredients, and portions were generous. Meeting the other happy guests at breakfast, they mirrored my opinions.

After two different Premier Inns in three days I wanted something comfortable to break my journey home from Derby . Arriving on a wet and miserable night I was greeted cheerfully and welcomed into this lovely home . My single room is small but perfectly adequate and cosy for the single traveler . My breakfast was not only delicious but accompanied by a nice chat with the owner who you feel you have know for a long time . Exceeded expectations Many Thanks Brian

Such a pleasure to stay here - the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely return and I can recommend the Heritage B&B if you're thinking of a stay in Calne!

My husband & I stayed for one night. It was easy to get to & had parking on the road outside. The room/en-suite was comfortable & clean. It is very near the centre of town with a few restaurants in walking distance. We had to choose our breakfast the night before. My choice was a marinated halloumi burger with tomato & mushroom which was delicious. There were a lot of options & freshly baked bread on offer.

What a little treasure! We had a lovely stay here. Ellie and Rexi were warm and inviting, everything you could possibly want for had been catered for already. We stayed to attend a nearby wedding and Ellie & Rexi provided transport late into the night, with the offer of a hot drink when we came back. Nothing was too much trouble. Their beautiful home is filled with unusual art pieces making it very interesting. Ellie is a marvellous cook, offering a very detailed wonderful breakfast, made to order at a time to suit you. She makes her own sour bread which is to die for. All in all an 11 out 10! Thank you Ellie & Rexi. We’ll be back!

Wow what a wonderful BnB. Run by two lovely welcoming ladies. Beautiful house, exceptionally clean. Our room was the Gothic room. Bed was very comfy we slept well. It has its own bathroom and faces out towards the road with their well kept garden to view out of the window. The bathroom is so clean you would think it’s brand new and it is well equipped with toiletries. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and Ellie makes homemade sour dough bread best I’ve ever tasted. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better we met Mr Buttons their cute cocker poo.
