We stayed 5 days over Christmas, we saw no staff for the first 3 days, no service, help or breakfast (making sure we knew that we need to order it the day before would have helped) as all restaurants were closed on Christmas day. Then when we finally saw the owner on day 4 she had a bad attitude, did not welcome us or even fake a smile. Later complained about our kids (2&4) playing, asked us to remove our luggage the night before we checked out (so we dont make noise) then dismissively asked us to stop communication when we queried it. They billed us wrongly, double charged us for breakfast and unused services. Rooms were cold, we found spiders, wifi didnt work, small oldish bathroom. Extra lumpy bed unusable yet charged. But worst of all just a horrible host with a bad attitude.

The small/boutique hotel Landhauszeit (a German artificial word combining "country house" and "time out") is located just outside the old town of the beautiful medieval Bad Münstereifel. The town was heavily hit by a flood one year ago, shortly after the Hotel got a makeover - luckily it was not affected by the flood directly. The design of both, Hotel and rooms, is simply perfect, the big garden behind the house is a great place to chill in the summer and having the great all-regional/organic breakfast on the terrace is THE way to start the day. I'm a bit biased, since I know Lena personally, but I wouldn't hesitate to go there again even if I have plenty of other places to stay in the area!
