Whipstock is an escape from busyness and into beauty and relaxed and warm hospitality. Sindy is a wonderful host. My review is summed up by the fact that I shall return soon.

We booked at Whipstock for 2 days over Christmas. It was absolutely wonderful. I can't recommend Whipstock enough. Both Sandy and Kim were beyond helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

It was a diamond to find Whipstock in the middle of beautiful abondoned surroundings. The Breakfast and the hospitality are simply the best that you will see. The pooltable and tabletennis table are super for every age and the rooms nice. The View is breathtaking as well. And Sindy (and Kim when he is arround) maken you feel welcome like home

If u wanted to sit down and plan your perfect 200 years plus farm then don't bother - this is it! What a wonderful place to stay and full of history and stories of years gone by. The hostess Cindy is the hostess with the mostest and nothing is too much trouble. It is very popular with hikers doing the Bosmanskloof trail from McGregor to Greyton or vice versa not least because Cindy will take or help organise bigger numbers of hikers to get to the start of the walk or to pick up to bring back. We will be going back and before or after your hike Jimmy's Bar in McGregor or The Courtyard are great for a wine or 3 or Lords or McGregor vineyards! But everyone needs a base and this is the perfect one. Thank u Cindy x

The accomodation is about 15 minutes outside of the town of McGregor along a dirt road which I wasn’t expecting but it was peaceful and comfortable and the staff is lovely.

We had a wonderfully peaceful weekend at Whipstock Farm in McGregor. The setting is tranquil and spacious, with rustic charm and big skies that invite you to slow down and breathe. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and there were loads of thoughtful extras throughout. It’s clear that the hosts have many exciting plans afoot and are genuinely keen to please—warm, welcoming, and full of heart. A perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Lovely comfortable stay with stunning views. Great host and peaceful atmosphere with great short walks and hikes. The breakfast was great and I will be back.
