Have dined here several times over the last 10 years and always very pleased with the meals . Went this time the good was superb very tasty there were 3 of us hub had vking gammon and chips . He said it was very nice . My aunt had leek and potato pie sge enjoyed . I had Glamorgan sausages chips and peas. The sausages were delicious. However my sausages chips and peas were served in a bowl ! I thought very offputting like serving a babys meal . But i asked for a plate and was given one so transferred from dish to plate. What we all thought yoo was the portions were much smaller than previous visits The chip portions were very small . And the salad that came with leek and potato pie also very small . (compared to portion sizes previous and portion sizes in other similar type restaurant) however it was really enjoyable and i would return .

Great as always, looking forward to staying again
Unfortunately when we entered our room, water was dripping through the ceiling, a pipe had broken, we immediately reported it to the staff who quickly and efficiently moved us to an alternative room which was perfect. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was of the highest quality, can highly recommend the lamb shank. The menu is varied and delicious. We had the breakfast, again of the highest quality and well worth the money. We have stayed here before and will be staying here again, it ticks all our boxes, excellent accommodation, free parking, excellent restaurant and friendly, helpful staff.

A lovely place, great value, good food, comfortable ; in fact all you could want of an inn. But what made my stay here so excellent was the great friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. When my friend had a disaster with her mobility scooter, which could have ruined her stay, the manager went above and beyond helpfulness to sort things out, coming up with an ingenious solution, driving out to buy materials and personally fixing the mechanical problem. What a hero! Thank you so much for a lovely stay and a reminder of how kind people can be.

Absolutely the best place for afternoon tea with the staff who couldn’t do enough to make our food exceptional With really tasty starters, sandwiches,gorgeous cakes a truly taste sensation. The best afternoon tea that I have ever had. Thank you Jacqui. Will be booking again very soon.

From the warm welcome to our departure, Saul and the staff at The Little Crown inn, were exemplary. We came with heavy e-bikes, but nothing was too much trouble and we so appreciated the atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent too. And the location, right on the National Cycle Route was brilliant.

We stayed at the Little Crown Inn overnight for a family event there the following day to celebrate my mam who has recently passed away. The owners Saul & Jacqui were very helpful friendly and accommodating. Hannah was a gem and the chef was skilful and innovative Jacqui provided the most amazing afternoon tea for 16 members of our family. All our family agreed the quality and variety of the savoury and sweet food was amazing. It was the best afternoon tea I've ever had And I've eaten many afternoon teas in my life! It was a fitting celebration for our lovely mam who would have been delighted, especially with the surprise I requested at the end which was delicious I understand Jacqui will be adding afternoon teas to their menu. I highly recommend them for a special treat

Our children organised a celebratory evening meal for my husband 's 80th birthday. The food and staff were wonderful. Cannot be faulted. Thank you all so much. Staff are so pleasant and polite. Food is delicious. Thank you once again. We will return very soon. 9

What a lovely friendly and welcoming place. Your staff and you as the hosts were wonderful from beginning to end. We all enjoyed everything about your Inn. You were both efficient accommodating and lovely people and your staff were an honour to you , they have learnt well. The food was great and we really enjoyed it. Lovely place to stay. Staff are extremely friendly and great to chat to. Good variety of dinner options and all very well cooked - mushroom starter is brilliant. Good cooked breakfast with a decent choice of options. Beds very comfy, nice bathroom with good shower (shower over bath, no separate cubicle). Free parking in well lit, cctv covered, car park. Close to main road. Overall superb, I'm trying to find an excuse to go back!
