Don’t stay in the hotel if you want peace and quiet. Loud music blasting out from the pool area all day and at night through til late. Bathroom very dirty on arrival. No milk for hot drinks. Very patchy wifi. Pool is actually open to the public so don’t expect a quiet swim as it’s full of teenagers all weekend. Restaurant expensive. Had to ask for bug spray as room was full of mosquitoes ants and a few spiders when I arrived because big screen on door ripped. Lovely friendly staff but rooms very very shabby

Recently I stayed at the Honiara hotel whilst attending a business conference and it was a comfortable & enjoyable experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, arranging transport from the airport and to & from the conference daily. The hotel sits on the side of a hill with the rooms arranged on 4 levels, so depending on your room location, there can be lots of stairs. The staff also helped here with bag portage. The hotel is an older, island-style property and some aspects of it are tired and need refurbishment (such as the gym). The rooms are clean and air-conditioned and the beds are comfortable with new linen. The wi-fi worked once I figured out which side of the room was covered, but I had no problems connecting to Zoom meetings via my laptop on the desk. The TV reception was great and offered multiple English language channels. I also dined at the Honiara hotel with 4 colleagues. Again the staff were helpful as a number of us ordered fish and the waitress recommended against it as she said it wasn’t fresh, but they would have fresh fish in the morning. We opted for steaks which were well-cooked & delicious. The service was a little slow due to the hotel hosting multiple football teams for a regional championship, but they made a mends with some complementary garlic bread. The hotel has a large pool with adjoining deck and a games-room & bar. These all appear to be in good order and were very popular, creating a relaxed island vibe.

This hotel was chosen for us by a friend. The room was fine. It's old but it's Solomon Islands so it seemed to be in line with other non-resort places. We did not like having to climb up many steps to get to our room, but again, we did not choose the hotel. We only stayed one night so we did not use the pools but they looked nice. The French restaurant had delicious food. It cost us the equivalent of $78USD for 3 people for a full meal so that was very reasonable. We had breakfast at the smaller cafe and the food was also good. So the experience was good, except for the steps, which can't be helped.

The friendly and attentive attitude of the hotel employees is especially deserving of praise. They went above and beyond during my stay to accommodate my needs and make me feel at home. Their commitment to client happiness was obvious and greatly valued, whether it was in the form of transportation arrangements, area recommendations, or simply polite talks. My extended stay was made much more valuable by the hotel's amenities, like the pool and fitness facility. My nine-month stay at the Honiara Hotel was just fantastic, if I may add so. For making my stay at the Honiara Hotel so delightful, I would like to publicly thank the entire staff. With absolute conviction, I can say that the Honiara Hotel is a fantastic choice that far exceeds expectations.
