Without a doubt the best B&B we've ever stayed in, it's a hidden secret and the epitome of understated luxury. The pool area is dreamy; lavender boarders, huge tiered terrace, pergola, outside sofas, sunbeds, parasols and drinks delivered to you, forget B&B these guys are more like a boutique hotel. Cannot believe the value...

Fabulous hosts, we felt so welcome. The house and setting is stunning…so sorry we could only stay one night. Great breakfast and big mugs of Yorkshire tea.

We recently stayed in the newly refurbished Gîte, located next to the main house and had a fantastic experience. The accommodation is exceptionally designed and has excellent added features, such as USB charger plugs in each room which make a real difference. The accommodation is incredibly spacious with a large sitting room, as well as a large open, plan kitchen and living area. The bathrooms are brand new and the bedrooms are also very generous on space. The outdoor area is also a real suntrap and the accommodation is located steps away from the lovely outdoor swimming pool and sitting area. The main house is also excellent and we were blown away by the service provided by our hosts, Emily and Martin. They could not have been more accommodating and have created at Les Picardies a tranquil and peaceful escape from the busyness of city life. It is also in a hard to beat location, only 30 mins drive from Limoges airport and within walking distance of a very pleasant village with some great restaurants. Emily and Martin know many of the local business owners, so are very well equipped to suggest activities and places to eat. We will, without a doubt, be back in the future!

Super nice experience in a lovely area of France. Hosts could not have been any nicer and more welcoming. Absolutely beautiful property and perfect place to unwind and relax. Walking distance to some charming nice local villages which was an added benefit and one I did not know about before visiting. Easy to get to from the nearby airport.

We cannot praise our stay at Les Picardies highly enough. Martin went out of his way to make us comfortable and was incredibly supportive and helpful when our baby daughter became unwell during our holiday. He was flexible with our arrangements and provided delicious pizza to keep us sustained and really good wine (he is an expert) for a great price. He is a very kind man and made us feel calm and at home during a difficult time. This is great place to spend a holiday - the pool is lovely and the rooms very comfortable.

Great value for money
Martin was a great host. The only food option is pizza in the evening which was fine for us but there aren't any food options within walking distance. The breakfast was basic but very pleasant, including some home grown produce.
The pool area was nice and although very cold we enjoyed a swim. It was so peaceful and helped us switch off for a few hours.
Overall we think Martin offers great value for money, the rooms are basic and don't have any mod cons but it was perfect for a one night stay for us. We did think cleaning of the rooms could have been better as there were a few surfaces that had been missed. There probably isn't enough going on nearby for us to have stayed longer but overall we were very happy.

We take all adverse comments very seriously and therefore we would address the following: Food options - we make no secret of the fact that our location is rural and the briefest of looks at Google Earth would reveal that we are, indeed, off the beaten track. Hence our offer of something light to eat for the weary traveller and a written pre-advice in respect of local restaurants. The Pool - the recorded water temperature of our pool on 3rd September was 28 and the air temperature at 17h00 was 21. Dusty bedroom - is a very worrying observation and we would very much welcome your direct communication with us so that we can make necessary corrections to our cleaning regimes.All that said, we are genuinely pleased that, overall, you and your friend were very happy with your brief stop-over at Les Picardies.
