What an amazing stay! We should have stayed several days! What a stunning view from any angle! the rocks below are so cool. Breakfast was included but what I remember was the amazing dinner. Our family of 4 ate full meals, drinks, and dessert and cost less than a Boston Pizza in Canada. The food quality was superb. I don't know why a friend told me Czech food doesnt taste good because we have had the most amazing fresh cooked, home made meals and just delicous! I have a sensitive stomach and the food has not been upsetting for me. I really wish we had spent at least 2 days here to explore and enjoy the hotel grounds and more of the rock formations. The price was very resonable too. They also had parking, and accommodate us with 2 cribs.

I really enjoyed staying here. If you love history, this is the place for you. Stay in a centuries-old castle? Yes please! My room was spacious and comfortable, but dated. The bathroom was of good quality. Stepping into the corridor and seeing all of the art was something I appreciated. WiFi was patchy but if you’re looking for the latest mod-cons, don’t choose a 14th century castle. Views around the place were beautiful. I enjoyed both evening meals in the restaurant and was satisfied with the buffet breakfast, too. Like hiking? There are lots of options. Beautiful scenery. I visited the spa and it was very reasonably priced. I travelled from Prague by train and took a taxi from Turnov station. All very easy. I recommend visiting this place.

The rooms are located in this Middle age castle and are very spacious. Getting hot water in the shower may take some time but it comes ! The view outside the window is amazing : forests, rocs, green scenery. The breakfast is very nice and rich. Both Denisa and Tereza at the reception are very friendly and ready to help, to explain the walking or cycling tours around the castle. The parking inside the hotel area is charged 200 CZK (2024). Place to recommend !

Stayed there for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday in Bohemia; including the May bank holiday. Site: awesome situation within the woods - on a cliff overlooking some excellent views. Wonderful sunrise. The castle is very well maintained and having stayed in similar palaces/castle hotel conversions previously, this is right up amongst the rest. Be aware that due to the nature of the place, there are no lifts or air conditioning. Beds are very nice and the power shower is a boon. Rooms are huge, airy and wonderful views. Food: excellent restaurant site, inside and outside - along the ramparts. exquisite meals, good variety, vegetarian options are present but few. Good breakfast spread. Would definitely stay again.

The location is great and just what I wanted: perfect views and access to amazing trails through the Cesky Raj. It was also great to have a restaurant on site, as we were travelling by train and couldn't drive anywhere else in the evenings. We found all the staff very nice too. I am bit more ambivalent about the rooms, though. There are some stellar reviews written recently by people on walking tours, so maybe they get the best rooms. We opted for a double with a view, which is a more expensive type than some of the others, and which according to the hotel's site came with armchairs, blackout blinds and a mini bar. In fact, it was rather small with just one straight-backed chair and an empty fridge, one window had no blind so light came in, and the bed was rammed into a narrow corner so one person slept against a wall and had to climb in and out over the foot of the bed. I've stayed in a few castles which have slightly worn or dated accommodation (e.g. Czocha in Poland), but they are usually cheaper than this one. For the money charged, the room was bit disappointing.

Beautiful hotel with lovely views. The staff are friendly. The girl on reception is amazing .We have no Czech and she organised taxis. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a Spa but we didnt visit it. The garden is perfect for relaxing in after a day hiking.

Spent 2 nights here while on a walking holiday. We spent up for a suite and it was large and comfortable with a separate room with a chair and couch. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. And loved waking up to the birds singing away. The hotel room was clean and had a fridge and my wife LOVED the bathtub after a couple of long hikes. Winner!
