The reason I am giving this two out of five is the lack of communication with the proprietors. They took forever to communicate with me initially when I was trying to book with them, and after a number of times trying to contact them, I finally was able to reach them by phone and the English spoken was save the least, very poor. I understand Quebec is predominantly. I’m not stupid about that but do not advertise. That language is spoken as French and English when the English was extremely odd to communicate with the website is completely. There was no mention of the policy that if you do have to cancel, you would lose a full nights booking, giving you one year credit so we had an emergency and was not able to go. It’s about a 12 Hour Dr. and was not able to do that and again after communicating for a number of times by both phone and email. I finally got a response back three weeks later, telling me that that was their policy and that the reason they didn’t communicate with me was he had a problem with his computer, which seems kind of ridiculous for a hotel to not be able to communicate with their Clients so I’m sure the hotel is beautiful and I’m sure the restaurant is very good as well, but I cannot give more than two stars for basically a establishment that does not communicate to you. What the heck is going on all the time and gives excuses both times as to why they weren’t getting back to you, it’s not about night. It’s about the frustration with the owner of this hotel and how poorly they communicate back to people that don’t speak their language just take out English on the advertisement and just say you only speak French because that’s basically what it came down to.

Off the beaten path but one of the best meals we've had in awhile at a great price. A 4 course meal on a terrace overlooking a quiet cove on the lake, within a restaurant impeccably finished, made this an unexpected luxurious experience. It's location within a quiet residential area belies the upscale metropolitan feel of its service and dining. These folks are delivering a quality experience that should not be missed if you find yourself in the area. My wife had a beef filet cooked to perfection while I truly enjoyed a seafood pasta covered with large shrimp, scallops, and a generous amount of lobster in a beautifully executed cream sauce. Top it off with a good wine selection and you have arrived.
