Checked in after walking 23 km on the El Camino at 2:30 pm. Not so pleasant staff, but that’s ok I suppose- even though hey do work in the “hospitality” industry 🤔 Room was clean and appointed with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. extra blankets in closet. Showers were good and clean. Pilgrim dinner was a lacking and this is where the rating took a hit. Choice of meal was very limited (compared with other hostels and albergues). Canned soup and frozen fillets yielded a low quality meal - which is kind of expected for a pilgrim meal. BUT this was the most expensive pilgrim meal (€15) we’d had thus far, despite being the worst. All other meals had been €12-13. No breakfast offered, so we’ll likely walk 6 km to Melide for breakfast. Overall. The staff kind of make you feel unwelcome and an inconvenience for being there.
