Our jungle beach stay at Danyasa felt like being welcomed into a cozy den after a long day of travel. Too tired to keep driving, we decided to stay the night, and it was exactly what we needed. The warm tea, cozy hangout spaces, and gentle atmosphere made it easy to unwind completely. We truly felt held here, wrapped in comfort and calm, as if by the Goddess herself. A deeply nurturing place to rest and reset. 🌿

I absolutely loved my stay at Danyasa Eco Retreat. The staff was beyond accommodating, incredibly friendly and genuinely warm. I felt at home from the first moment because everyone was so kind and helpful. On top of that, I received outstanding recommendations for activities in the area and I was supported in booking everything in a way that allowed me to do all the excursions I was interested in. Thanks to the amazing Danyasa team, I had an excellent and truly unforgettable vacation. Highly recommend!

Danyasa is a beautiful place, to which I have traveled many times, to come home away from home here at the sacred temple walls of Danyasa Eco Retreat! I have brought some beautiful people back with me many times, & we have always had the most divine heavenly experiences. Recharging, envisioning, creating & integrating, while being nurtured by the beautiful offerings of Danyasa retreats, amenities & incredible staff has been life changing in many ways! I recommend this divine oasis to everyone who has a chance to visit Dominical! Thank you to the amazing staff & owners B & S 💕 for always going above and beyond to ensure everything is high level, high quality & best comfort! I can not wait to return!! ~ A D

Staying at Danyasa is rhe height of comfort and serenity. We loved our one week stay, yoga and surfing everyday, saltwater pool, world class body work, yummy food, eco jungle lusciousness all in the heart or Dominical, one block from the beach✨🌊👙🌴

A group of old friends and I just had the BEST 1-week stay at Danyasa. Words really can't express the MAGIC, soul-warmth, and eco-consciousness that permeates every aspect of Danyasa... The comfy rooms and attention to every detail, the superlative quality of the yoga teachers and other staff, the deep ethos of conscious community, the luxurious, lush, jungle-beach vibe throughout the property, and the convenient central location in downtown Dominical are the purrrfect launching point to cultivate a healing, reinvigorating adventure. 👍👍❤️

We booked this hotel at the very last minute. We were enjoying ourselves so much at the beach in Dominical that we did not want to drive back to our Air BnB in Quepos. Based on a Google search, the room at Danyasa was the least expensive in the area. It also looked like a very cool spot when we saw it during our lunch at Fuego Brewing (they share a parking lot). My only regret is that we only stayed one night. It was such a calming and sweet environment. The stay included breakfast and it was a wonderful meal, delicious and healthy. For our room, the bathroom and shower were shared with the room next door. Since the room next door was not occupied, we had the shower/bathroom all to ourselves during our one night stay. I will return to Danyasa for a longer stay when we are in the area again.

Loved that this place was an eco-lodge and the rooms are re-used old shipping containers. The rooms were tiny, but comfortable and cozy and had all the space I needed as a solo traveler. It was also nice that the shipping containers were on stilts off the ground with wood walkways interconnecting them. Created a nice aesthetic. This place had a lovely look throughout, with many potted plants creating visual screens and a lush, tropical, relaxing feel. My room, the "Zen" room had a private balcony on the back of the room, so wasn't visible to other guests as they walked about the grounds. And, the balcony was surrounded by bamboo and other plants which made it very private. Not all rooms had this. Some had patios in front of their doors that were visible from walkways. The "Zen" room I stayed in also had a private bathroom off the balcony, which was really nice. The pool and pool area was really nice. Loved that there was a yoga studio on the grounds. It was a raised, open-air studio. Really nice! Appreciated that breakfast was included. The only thing I was unhappy with was that, since the rooms are housed in shipping containers, there is little sound insulation. I could hear the group of people in the adjacent room clearly through the separating wall. There was also very loud music at a bar adjacent to the property until 2:00am that made it difficult to sleep. I had to use a white-noise app on my phone at high volume to try to drown out the bar music so I could sleep, with only partial success. Luckily that only happened on one of the two nights I stayed at Danyasa. But, something to consider. Regardless, I would 100% recommend this place and would stay there again. It was in a great location: short walk to the beach and to other locations in town.

2.5/5 Overall, we were disappointed with our stay at Danyasa. First of all, we were made very welcome. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The hotel is also perfectly located. You can do everything on foot, and it's only 5 minutes from the beach, which is very pleasant. Breakfast is good and varied. The room (which is half a container) we stayed in was ridiculously small. Not very clean and quite old (sink hole not clean, rust marks, scratches, stained sheets...etc). Rooms not soundproofed or insulated. When you move around the concept, you get all the plants in your face, which isn't very pleasant. At night, the lights in the common areas stay on, which is disturbing because the light enters the rooms. Also, this is surprising for an “eco-resort”. The common areas are fine, but again not very comfortable, and the sofa cushions need changing. The beach towels too (they're worn and stained). The two yoga classes we took were TOP! Nothing to say about them, thanks to the teachers! For the price, we were very surprised. Quality/price ratio not up to our expectations. We've stayed in less expensive, much more comfortable, clean and pleasant places in Costa Rica (on the same coast, with yoga classes too).

Absolutely delightful place to stay and a beautiful setting for yoga. I stayed at Danyasa for a week and can't say enough good things about it. It's a beautiful, lush oasis that's steps from the beach and downtown Dominical. Friendly and caring staff, clean, cozy rooms, an inviting pool, and delicious breakfasts each morning. Would come back in a heartbeat. Yoga classes were delightful with talented, thoughtful instructors and their studio is gorgeous!
