Killaran House is perfectly located on the start of The Ring of Kerry and is run by the most welcoming host of any of the many B&Bs we’ve stayed in, going above and beyond our expectations. Clean, great beds and hot showers with a delicious breakfast ticked all the boxes for us.

Wonderful Stay with a Truly Caring Host and Perfect Location We had a lovely stay at Killaran House in Killarney. Breeda, the owner, is incredibly friendly and warm — she makes you feel like a welcomed guest in her home from the moment you arrive. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of delicious options, and Breeda goes above and beyond with thoughtful touches — there’s even a guest cart filled with travel essentials like shampoo, hairspray, and other items visitors might have forgotten. Such a brilliant idea! The location is perfect — an easy walk to great restaurants, shopping, and just minutes from the Ring of Kerry entrance. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, showing the care and pride Breeda puts into her guesthouse. If we had one small note, it would be that the beds were a bit firm for our liking — but truly, if that’s the only thing to mention, it says a lot about how wonderful this place is. A solid 4+ star stay — warm hospitality, spotless rooms, great food, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommend!

Killaran House was the best B&B we have ever stayed in, and Breda was an incredible and attentive host. She was always there to be sure we were comfortable and accommodated. She was incredibly kind when my spouse became sick, provided soothing drinks and food, and helped us make arrangements to get to a doctor. There were great options for breakfast and the food was always delicious. Our highest recommendation! We hope to be there again!!

We stayed three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breda and her staff were very friendly and informative about the area. The room was comfortable and the hotel had an extremely inviting lounge to relax in. The close proximity of the hotel to the town centre was very convenient and we were able to walk there easily. Breakfast was impressive and of a high standard. We will stay here again next time we are in Killarney.

Only had a one night stay in Killarney, but we would have quickly extended that stay if possible due to the incredible service and quality provided by our host Breda at the Killaran house, and the lovely location within walking distance to an incredible amount of things to do within Killarney at night. It is hard to beat this location for ease of access to many of the Ring of Kerry attractions and the city of Killarney itself. Our rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and our breakfast service was excellent. We will be back again in the future.

We spent two nights at killaran house. We were very well looked after by our host Bredda. The room was clean, cosy and a had a lovely hot shower. Breakfast was exceptional and it was ideally located for town, train and bus stations. There is a cosy communal lounge with TV and plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We had such a lovely stay here! The home is beautifully decorated, and the rooms are very clean and quiet. Each morning, the breakfasts were wonderful with a beautiful buffet of yummy items along with a hot cooked breakfast. .It was a short walk into town with an abundance of restaurants and shops. I definately recommend this lovely B & B
