We liked everything about this B&B: very large room, with a nice bathroom, and a deck with a view on the Canso Strait By the way, this B&B is located in Troy, rather than in Port Hastings. Pat, the lady who owns owns a B&B was very nice, and she prepared a generous breakfast for us, it would be impossible to leave this place hungry! Our only regret was that could not stay at this B&B longer.

This place was absolutely horrible. There was no one to check us in. We received a text with a code to open the door. There was no curtains on the windows so very limited privacy. The television cable wasn't working and we had very limited stations to view. There was a coffee maker but no coffee was provided to make.

Worst place to stay in. No shampoo or soap. Small run down room with very old furniture. No bar or hook to hang a towel in the bathroom. No place to hang clothes. Not even one hook on the wall. The heater is 4 feet abovethe pillows. It was blowing directly on my face. I had to turn around to be able to sleep. One mug and one small cup to make the coffee in. No office.

We stayed at Capeway Lodge for one night on our way from the Cabot Trail to Halifax. The room was clean and recently mostly renovated with a small kitchenette and bathroom. Our room was at the back, so no traffic noise and parking right at the door. Tony is working hard to make this place a little gem. A little bit of landscaping and new outdoor chairs will really help. Well worth the money for a nights stay.
