The location is amazing, a simple 10-minute walk to the castle, and about a 5-minute walk to the bazaar center. The guest house is super lovely, with a beautiful view from the terrace and the typical traditional house of the region. The rooms were super comfortable, clean, and a decent size. The same goes for the bathroom. All towels and toiletries are provided. The garden is lovely, you could just chill in the morning or the evening with some coffee or drinks on the terrace. The host is the loveliest, nicest person you'll ever meet. Very thoughtful and kind, and helpful with tips for the local must-see places and eateries. She was also accommodating for our breakfast and makes it fresh just before eating time which is whenever you wish it to be. Just let her know what time you would like to eat. The breakfast is delicious with traditional food and homemade recipes.

The location is very close to the city center and a bit hard to find. This is however rather normal in Albanian towns since there are a lot of small roads. We have a car of around 2.3 m height, 2.2 m width and 5.3 m length. For us it was easily possible to reach the destination as soon as we figured out which roads to take. Parking is available next to the gate of the guest house on a dead end road. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are simple but very clean and provide an authentic experience. The location has a very nice terrace with a great view of the castle. The city center and the Ethnographic Museum (former communist leader Enver Hoxda’s birth house) are in close walking distance. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was tasty and plenty. Absolute recommendation to stay for a night or two to explorer Gjirokastra and the surroundings.
