An excellent stay it’s quiet, clean, excellent breakfast and dinner. Very helpful and accommodating helped with local tour.

After a long day’s drive from Cape Town it was a relief to arrive at such a welcoming and relaxing place. The views from the rooms are lovely, our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with an excellent en suite. We enjoyed a great meal in the restaurant, the lamb curry was wonderful. Great breakfast enhanced by watching the bird life flitting through the garden. Would absolutely recommend for a stopover or for a longer stay if you are exploring the Karoo more fully.

We had been looking forward to a special event so we could celebrate at Salie's, the restaurant at Karoo Life. We were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly, attentive and effective. Our meals were affordable, tasty and came on time. The setting itself is an oasis in the karoo heat.

Went with my wife and we really had a nice stay over the long weekend at the end of April. The host were very friendly and the atmosphere at the guesthouse was calm and relaxing. Rooms were cleaned daily and we also got fresh bedding daily. All the staff were also friendly. Would recommend!

Good beds. All you need for one night's sleepover. Food was very good and the breakfast was outstanding. Les and Madelein were good host/hostess. It was our 2nd time will definitely go again. I like the garden just sit there with a cup of coffee after a long drive.

A nice , neat and well equipped room, which was restful and safe. Nice surroundings in the yard to visit with friends around well-placed garden tables.

We stayed here for one night before we went on a hiking trip in Die Hel. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality if the hosts made us feel completely at home. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need - even electric blankets, which were a real treat on a chilly Karoo night. The central location made it easy to explore the surrounding wine farms and everything Calitzdorp has to offer.
