如果您很幸运/有好运/命运眷顾您并且认识 Shamaila Taj & Avery Reding，您将在继续前行之前在这家出色的酒店/餐厅 (High Sierra bar & grill) 过夜‼️ 对我来说确实如此，几天前，我正处于“第七届第一季度奥德赛：德克萨斯州西部深处！”之中，在美国德克萨斯州范霍恩的一家 Uncle’s C 店，接到了上述女士的电话。我欣喜地得知，突然取消的预订为我腾出了 Big Bend NP/Terlingua-Study Butte 地区的房间，由于春假人群拥挤，该地区完全没有空房。这立即导致我的自行车之旅发生了变化，从 Presidio-Ojinaga POE（2 国/2 州）进入 MAGNIFICENT MEXICO 到 FM170 上的东行（1 国/1 州）。有了这个新目的地——以及我另一半的热情认可——我在 2018 年 1 月至 2 月的原创“¡第一年度第一季度奥德赛：1 国/2 州！”中又添加了一个关键部分。“El Dorado Ghost Hotel”拥有我以及任何旅行者所需的一切：一个 110v 插座，可以插入为我的“FrankenBike”供电的电池，有遮蔽的房间可以躲避风雨，非常拥挤（春假）/美味/相邻/非常适合家庭的烧烤/酒吧，以及总体而言很棒的员工。显然，这家出色的酒店拥有我梦寐以求的“¡认可之轮！”——但请务必提前预订‼️

We checked in for three nights but ended up leaving after the 2nd night. The room was spacious and clean, so was the bathroom. However the bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets couldn't keep us warm. Also the guest upstairs were stomping around throughout the night. Noisy to say the least. After two poor nights of sleep, I couldn't take it anymore. The front desk (inside the restaurant) was kind of rude when we went back to ask a question. WiFi is poor and barely loaded websites. There's a large parking lot and also a restaurant next door. Overall a poor value for $250 a night for a motel like room in the middle of nowhere.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Ghost Town Hotel. The room was beautiful, newly renovated, and perfectly situated at the base of the Terlingua ghost town—such a unique and charming setting. The new ownership has truly transformed the place. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, and she was an absolute sweetheart. She shared a bit about all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into the renovations—and it definitely shows. Every detail feels thoughtful and full of heart. The staff were amazing from start to finish, giving the whole place a warm, welcoming, almost “hug-like” feel. It’s small and quaint in the best possible way. A huge bonus is the connected High Sierra Bar and Grill. The food was outstanding, the drinks were delicious, and the fun vibe—complete with live music—made our evenings unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend this spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Flop rental Scam. Sorry can't put zero rating, one is too many. Only Ghost in this Town is truth. I declined to stay once I immediately determined their smoke and mirror rouse on arrival. Confronted this husband/wife team (I assume) to no avail of course. They already had the way over priced / absorbent one day rental in pocket. Their internet prescience is bate/switch / misleading. Internet appearances most likely will deceiving. Their Pic here is the front end side of bar & grill with desk registration check in the bar. How rustic. Way over sold as "rustic". Translation - no amities what so ever. Texas stars and quiet peace of mind is all you need. Code for we don't carry any comfort expense and you must enjoy. Including the old Motel 6 setting completed with no elevator to 2nd floor prepaid I was assigned without my prior consent. I don't do stairs with bags to upper floors. Once I realized that and other misleading information on arrival, I registered my protest at the man/woman bar team check in desk. Result: Netted indifferent / unresponsive / I really don't give a sage brush attitude. The road you came in on go right back out. We have your money therefore it sucks to be you. You apparently did not make your best decision (true). Have a good day. On exit I did see far better / current / desirable competitor properties but you would have to be here first to note. It was my first visit based upon on extremely dated friend hearsay. Cancelling 48 hours declaration AFTER booking online not before arrival should have been my first red flag. Did try to cancel well before and got a nasty email declining. This place is desperate and you are the answer

Unfortunately the hotel room had not been cleaned very well - previous occupants coffee grinds in the coffee machine, toilet not clean. The room did not resemble the photos on the website. Very dated and expensive for what it was. We booked for two nights because of proximity to Big Bend National Park, but stayed only one night. (A room opened up inside the park). Our room was in a building behind the main building with restaurant and bar. The unit next to us had building supplies piled up in front of it and other rooms had discarded furniture and bedding outside.

Location is very convenient to Big Bend. Our bed was comfortable and the towels were nice... But... They claim the property is undergoing renovations. Not our room. Broken floor tiles (lots of them), jacuzzi tub out of order, cockroaches and other bugs, shower was adequate but small and old. We were so concerned about bugs we didn't sit on any of the furniture (it's old) and we kept our suitcases zipped up at all times and slept on top of the sheets. The website said there was a refrigerator in each room...nope. The total price was 30% more than room quote; you learn of all the extra charges at the last minute. And you only have 48 hours FROM BOOKING to cancel. After that, you lose everything.

I made & paid for lodging in November 2022, but when checking in at restaurant they couldn’t find our reservation. We were “upgraded” from a 2 bed room to a suite. Yes, it was a bigger room with a king bed but updates are needed!! The shower ceiling paint is peeling and the shower handle had a golf ball rather than a shower handle. Shower curtain was gross & needed to be replaced. The toilet leaked. The jacuzzi tub was out of order, but we didn’t care about that. We don’t mind “rustic” or “quirky” but this lodging needs works and is way over-priced for what it is!! Bed was comfortable and nice towels. AC worked ok but should probably be updated.
