We got a suite with a jetted tub in the room. The tub would not hold water and kept draining. The hotel fire alarm went off early in the morning and staff said that it just happens sometimes. There was no real breakfast to speak of, they had no eggs or sausage. The staff however was very friendly and polite. The scenery is beautiful and very location is great. I would say the issues are more the owner not investing money to keep the place to standard rather than the staff’s fault.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, they were actually at the front desk and not tucked away in a back office. The room was very clean and spacious. The pool and sauna area was well maintained. WiFi was nice to have as we did not have the best cell coverage in the area. If I were to have a complaint the beds are a little firm for our liking.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to check in and out. The hotel offered a great free breakfast that provided a variety of choices. There was also a restaurant in the hotel with good food and a bar. My favorite part was being so close to Lake Superior. There was plenty of different seating options on the beach to enjoy the lake.

The heated pool was not heated. The outdoor seating area was dismantled so we were not able to enjoy our last day (the best weather wise) comfortably on the beach. The staff was great and the available washer/dryer was much appreciated.

This is an ideal location for anyone visiting the Porkies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the accommodations were excellent. The view of Lake Superior was gorgeous. We even did some rock hunting!

Our room was wonderful, the bath was so nice and roomy.
The staff was so nice, Connie & Kathy was so helpful and cheerful. Bob who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was so cheerful and keep everything well stocked. The waffle dispenser ran out and he said he’d be back in 30 seconds for a new container, he had another one in the back. He was back in 27 seconds. He couldn’t do enough to keep everyone happy. Bob is amazing!!! We didn’t use the hot tub, so I have no comment. This hotel goes beyond your expectations. I have stayed in many hotels but this one stands out from most others. I will definitely be recur!!!
