I was really disappointed with our recent stay, especially considering we’ve always chosen La Quinta over Best Western when visiting family in Luling. We haven’t stayed here in over a year, and the decline was noticeable.
The front desk staff member who checked us in did not seem friendly or welcoming, and there was an unpleasant odor in the lobby. When we got to the room, we found several areas of mold in the bathtub. I can’t say whether it was active, but both my husband and I experienced some breathing issues after arriving. I can’t claim the cause, but seeing visible mold definitely didn’t make us feel clean or safe.
On a positive note, the morning staff at the front desk was very pleasant, and we did sleep well.
However, with our family planning to return in March (at least 10 of us), I honestly cannot recommend staying here as things stand. At this point, I would suggest the Best Western down the road, even if it’s about $10 more per night, because cleanliness and comfort are too important to overlook.

I think it needs secure entry since Loves is near. A lot of movement theoughout the night and no one at the front desk.

Love Luling
My stay was what I expected. The room and hotel were very clean. The staff was very friendly. In the morning the breakfast attendant was very good at her job and replenished food when needed. The hotel is in a perfect spot just outside of Luling and the Luling Lavender fields were are nice to visit and walk by.
