The Palms is an exquisite property! Beauty all around. Steps to the beach, an amazing pool, and incredibly lush gardens! The staff is friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed in was very well appointed and had everything we needed and more! Stay Guana was great to work with- they made arrival and departure seamless and were available throughout our stay to answer our questions. Very timely responding which is appreciated. We will definitely book with them again when we go back to the Palms. We have found our new favorite vacation spot!

We went to The Palms with two couples for four days and couldn’t have been happier. Each private residence is privately owned so many people aren’t there all the time. And the ones that live there aren’t using the pool/beach all the time so many times it feels like you have the place to yourselves. We went to the adult pool almost every day and we were almost always the only ones there. We rented a golf cart from the villa for about $165 for 3 days ($55/day). This was nice because we could drive around town visiting restaurants, breweries and exploring the area. You’ll need to schedule a driver or tour to explore the waterfalls, national parks or jungle. We scheduled this through Dennis Castaneda Cabalceta (506-8876-1973 or denniscastaneda11@gmail.com). He was fantastic - always had waters or beers for us when we got into the air conditioned van. He was always early and pulled up right to our villa. He had amazing recommendations for tours and made payments very easy by credit card or cash. He speaks Spanish and English and allowed us to plug in our own music. He and his team (Martino and Carlos!) took us to multiple locations in Costa Rica and became friends by the end of the trip. Highly recommend all of them. You can also have them pick you up and drop you off at the airport too. We also booked a fishing and snorkeling trip through The Palms. We used a company that was owned by Christian who picked us up. He is sometimes on the boat but wasn’t able to make our trip but he crew was absolutely incredible. Donaldo was the captain and the deckhands were Luis and Moises. We wanted to see the sunrise from the boat so they arrived earlier than normal and didn’t say a word about our early expectations. We watched the sunrise and then started fishing. 15 minutes into the trip we pulled in a meter long wahoo. We trolled out to deep seas and pulled in many, many grouper - sometimes 2 at a time. All four of us reeled in grouper. Then we went after bluefin tuna and caught 2 40-45 pounders. We trolled back in from a few miles out and Donaldo spotted a blue marlin. Moises and Luis hooked it and we spent the next 1 1/2 hours reeling it in. 400 pounds, 8 ft long. We took a few photos on the side of the boat and released it. We were well over the allotted time and they didn’t flinch about offering snorkeling time. We declined because we were exhausted but we were amazed they even offered to go snorkeling well after the scheduled time we paid for. This all included water, soft drinks, beers, liquor, coffee, gallo pinto breakfast on a 38 ft boat. They cut up our catch and helped us schedule and in-room chef at The Palms for that night at an incredibly reasonable price. It was the fishing trip of a lifetime. Again, we couldn’t have been more happy with Donaldo, Luis and Moises. Thank you guys! The beach at The Palms is private. Within walking distance to a couple eateries. Try Coco Loco for a sundowner and Portreros B

A fabulous, relaxing, top-notch property and villa supported by wonderful, friendly, and responsive staff. There is no property like this in Playa Flamingo. Communication and planning pre-arrival by the concierge were excellent. It was the beginning of the "off" or rainy season and not crowded (which we enjoyed). The ocean water was clean, clear and warm, and very swimmable and the two pools on the property were a nice option. Security was present all day and eve. Some owners kicked off remodeling projects, etc, which made for some noise but that's to be expected during off-season. We will definitely return to the Palms!

The pool was very big and cool but the rules are very strict, like no inner tubes or no footballs or any type of balls (which sucks). And there is an adult pool for the adults who don’t want to be by kids.

We rented Casa Chocolate thru Airbnb and everything went great. Carlos’s villa was fantastic and he is an excellent host! The unit was extremely comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all high-end appliances and every imaginable item you would need to cook anything. You could have daily maid service if you liked or less often if desired. The onsite staff was very helpful if you needed anything. The grounds are very beautiful and the infinity pool looking out over the beach & ocean was great. The crescent shaped beach faced due west and provided fantastic sunsets, a great place to walk, and warm refreshing water with great waves. We drove to the grocery store and picked up food and drinks. We ate most breakfasts & lunches at the villa and ventured out for dinner. You can just walk down the beach or road to Coco Loco next door which has excellent food in a casual setting. The new marina is close by with several other excellent restaurants. We highly recommend staying at Casa Chocolate!

We stayed here as a VRBO (we reviewed the townhouse there - incredible), but here we are reviewing the grounds, location and staff where are also all amazing! There is a bar on site to get freshmade drinks and just adjacent is a restaurant that is great that will deliver to your room or you can walk there for dinner. The Palms will also create private waterfront dining for you if asked. We were greeted by staff as we enter and then given a personal tour of our vrbo townhouse. At one point, I couldn't figure out the lockbox, so they immediately sent someone over to help. The grounds are keep pristine and the pool is so relaxing. This was a wonderful trip with a beautiful sunset each night!
