We had a great stay at Myrtles Retreat. Our room was clean, spacious, and genuinely comfortable — and the shower was a standout, with plenty of hot water and great pressure. The property is peaceful, well looked after, and has everything you need for a relaxing overnight stop. Peter was warm and welcoming, and the overall experience just made us feel looked after from start to finish. Highly recommended.

The location is situated in a good area. Shops are 5 mins drive away. If peace band quiet is what you looking for this is it. All restaurants prices are reasonable and value for money. Myrtles Retreat is value for money and the staff and Peter Heesen are excellent hosts. Breakfast worth the value.

Myrtles Retreat received our last-minute booking late the same evening for our team and everything was impressively handled giving us total peace of mind. All ran smooth and our team were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a 2 night stay while busy with client contract work in the area. Many thanks to Peter and his team and I would certainly recommend Myrtles Retreat.

Myrtle and Peter are friendly hosts. They really go all the way to help with accommodation. We stayed 16 days. Their rooms are fairly priced. We hiked the Alikreukel and visited the Blombos Museum and Kasselhoop Cheese Farm and the Olive Farm, done Kayaking and went to Skulpiesbaai and Lappiesbaai and the beach at the harbour and the Preekstoel beach. Myrtle's retreat is close to all. The rooms are serviced each day and clean towels provided. Rita and Liza, were friendly and kept everything up to standard. Well equipped kitchen with braai facility.

Myrtle's retreat is spotless and the kitchen is very well stocked, but the smoking area is outside the rooms which often smell really badly of smoke. Also I've never slept on mattresses or pillows that hard, we all swopped beds every night but slept very badly. The staff is awesome, friendly and helpful.
