Our expectations for a 4 star hotel were not met . Especially relative to the price . We have traveled extensively and found amenities lacking . However , the staff were very friendly and the location was excellent .

Bait and Switch. STAY AWAY
We booked this because of the strong ratings and good location. The staff was actually really great and the breakfast was OK (not included). Otherwise, we were put across the street in what appeared to be a storage room of some kind. Complete disrepair, filthy, dark and dingy with broken furniture, bad smell, and dirty floors. It had a small back garden with a bunch of outdoor furniture stacked up in the corner (never went out there). Mattresses very very old. It was a 3 level unit with all the doors locked on the top floor (creepy). Probably the worst hotel room for the money (and I paid a lot) I have ever had in 40 years of international travel. The proper hotel across the street did not appear full either as we were past peak season. Whole thing seemed like an obvious bait and switch.

You saw several members of our staff but did not mention anything, and the only time you brought up issues was at check-out, when unfortunately it was too late to resolve them. Regarding the accommodation itself, you did not book a single room but rather a full unit with several rooms and a kitchen, exactly as described and shown in the photos on our listing. For safety reasons, unused rooms remain locked, but they can always be unlocked upon request. The unit and the garden are maintained with care, and the photos online reflect the property accurately. The outdoor furniture was folded and stacked aside because of the rainy days before your arrival, in order to keep it clean and ready for use. Concerning the chair you mentioned, we acknowledge that it was broken. We regret that we did not notice it before your arrival - otherwise, it would have been repaired or replaced immediately. It is also a pity that you did not mention it during your stay, as we could have acted on it right away.As for comfort, our mattresses are regularly inspected and replaced when needed. While comfort is subjective, we have not received similar complaints from other guests, and we are confident in the quality of our furnishings.In terms of value, as your reservation was made through *******, we were unable to reduce the price directly. However, we did what we could to improve your experience by offering breakfast free of charge, which you accepted. Finally, we must firmly reject the suggestion of a "bait and switch". The unit you stayed in is exactly the one advertised online. Many other guests who stayed in the same accomodation have confirmed that what they booked matched their expectations.We sincerely regret that your impression was different, but we also believe it is important to be fair: concerns can only be resolved when they are addressed during the stay, not afterwards. This was our favorite hotel during our 8 night trip to Europe. We stayed 2 nights. The staff couldn't have treated us any better. We mentioned a gluten allergy at checkin and they had multiple bread options available at breakfast. They were also helpful when we asked for recommendations. The hotel is well maintained and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops.
