Beware. My card was charged three times. Once for the full amount and twice for 50% of the total stay amount. It was several days before the pending funds were released back to my account. Manager was really rude. Kept talking over me making the same statement which was not what I was asking about and disconnected the call after repeatedly not answering the question I was asking.

The pictures of the hotel on line are a bit deceiving. This hotel, while affordable, is old and tired. I was honestly expecting a nicer place.

liked having an attached restaurant, carpet was very dirty in hallways. Staff was great and pool hot tub was clean and operable.

The shower was completely gross. There was mold/hard water stains in the grout. The tile in the shower was so old that some of the tiles were broken. The shower looked so gross that I did not dare to take a shower before putting a towel on the shower floor. Did not want to pick up any fungi. I have been in 10 hotels in the last 2 weeks and this was by far the worst and the price of the hotel stay was no where near the lowest.

“The place was great! The staff was awesome, everything was very clean, and the room was spacious. What more could I ask for? Well… maybe just stronger, better coffee! :)”

North shore trip
There were barking dogs in the room next to ours. When I informed the front desk, the attendant accommodated us by moving us to another larger room at no additional charge.

The outside is laying cleanliness. The garbage was so full there was garbage on the ground. The landscaping was so full of weeds looked trashy.

Hot tub was closed which was VERY disappointing because its main reason I booked this hotel. Did my research on hot tub and pool temperature

Business visit / 1st time stay
Facility is in an excellent view location and connected to a convention center. The hotel itself is older. Due to it being pet friendly the carpet wear and cleanliness shows. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Morning breakfast was well done.

It was relatively clean and the bed was comfortable but it was by no means a $200 a night hotel. It has “Duluth South” in it’s name but it’s really in Proctor which is a bit of a drive from lots of places in Duluth proper.
