The Baer House Inn is an absolute treasure that exceeded all my expectations. If you appreciate the 1800s, you will truly love this place; it does not disappoint. The attention to detail in the entire house is incredible—easily 95% authentic 19th-century; furniture, curtains, and an extensive library filled with period-appropriate books. It felt like walking onto a movie set, but with a perfect balance of modern comfort. The only 5% of modern conveniences, like the comfortable mattress, pillows, linens, towels, bathroom, WiFi, Bluetooth music speaker, small fridge and TV, were seamlessly integrated and very much appreciated along with impeccable cleanliness. The staff truly made the stay memorable. Latanya, the manager, was exceptional—the most pleasant and attentive host I have ever encountered. I wanted for nothing; she took care of everything from the moment I arrived. I was also greeted with a smile by Johnny, the groundskeeper/maintenance guy, who was very welcoming. I have specific food allergies, and Latanya and Larry the chef went above and beyond to accommodate me. Larry made me an outstanding breakfast, including a fresh fruit cup and perfect over-easy eggs on top of delicious sourdough bread, making sure everything was safe for me to eat. If you have the privilege of meeting Latonya’s son, Jaylin, you will never be the same. He is 100% happy and just makes you happy, a true joy to be around. The only negative thing I can possibly say is that I don’t get to live there! I had to leave, but I will go back as often as possible. There is still hope for the world with a house and staff like that.

Loved, loved this B & B! The Baer House Inn is immaculately restored and presented. It is elegantly appointed but at the same time is a comfortable and welcoming historic home. LaTonya and her team are caring and detail oriented. It is centrally located to restaurants and historic Vicksburg sites. Highly recommend without hesitation.

On a 15 day mini tour from New Orleans to Chicago, our one night at the Baer House was our best. A warm welcome from host Patricia, who made sure we were happy with our room: this was huge and at the front of the house. It is so peaceful in this part of Vicksburg, there was no road noise. I had a terrible cough/cold for much of the trip but had the best sleep of the entire trip as did my husband. Delicious coffee and the fluffiest cinnamon pancakes with fresh fruit & maple butter syrup, plus juices set us up for a morning’s walk around town. Patricia was happy for us to leave our car (ample car park) which was a bonus. Highly recommend this B&B.

Our second fascinating town in a row after Nachez and our second amazing historical house with beautiful rooms full of antiques and art. Great B&B loved the room and breakfast and hosts. Location and service very good.Enjoyed the civil war history at the military park.

Lovely B&B filled with great artwork, antique furniture and stunning period chandeliers and carved wood finishes. Patricia and Cory are wonderful hosts. Our room was extremely comfortable & stool was provided to access the awesome bed.

Very nice specious room at a beautiful B&B the host was very nice and suggested a great restaurant within walking distance of the B&B The breakfast was very good. We met very nice people who were also guest. Easy access to main roads. If B&B’s are where you like to stay this is definitely the one to book

Patricia was the most amazing host. She did not steer us wrong with all the wonderful restaurants she suggested. Her breakfast was delicious. The home and the room was beautiful and clean. All the best attractions were super close. I would definitely suggest staying here to all my friends and family.

Our two night stay at the Baer House was wonderful. Great accommodations, very comfortable, beautifully decorated guest room. Amazing circa 1870 Victorian home with a rich history and unique wood work throughout the house. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful. They gave the history of the home and family, as well as tips on things to do and see in Vicksburg. I feel like we made new friends. We will definitely stay there again. Gorgeous home. Fairly comfortable room with beautiful, high antique wood bed. WiFi was very slow. So don’t plan on doing much online. I had hoped to get some work done on laptop. Off -street parking is great. All bedrooms are on second floor. Really lovely first floor common rooms. Breakfast was adequate.
