This place is closed!!! We had this place booked for the fourth of july weekend and when we got there to check in everything was shut down and we were never told a word. Place went under foreclosure and we were told nothing. Thank gosh we went through ******* and they were able to move us to a new place last minute.

We’ve stayed here several times. Yes, there’s financial problems. The entire staff seemed to quit during our first visit because they hadn’t been paid. Oof. But our stay was nice. The room was delightful. The food and activities were fun. The owner has an amazing vision for what this should be. He’s a local guy, not a corporation. We want him to succeed. Pool was relaxing, the bar was great at the pool when it was open. The lawn trailer drinks, music, and fun. We’ve stayed a few times and will again.

The rooms are esthetically pleasing, the bed and pillows very soft and comfortable. There’s a wine fridge but there are no plastic cups or any cups at all. The location is excellent the ocean is across the street with a great view. However, my room didn’t have heat. I arrived late and I just went to bed and the bedding kept me warm but the next day it was freezing. It was 40-45° during my stay and rained the entire time. I went to the office to tell them and nothing happened. I emailed through ******* and they sent a maintenance man to move me to the room next to it and he came into my room, gathered the sheets pillows and blankets off my bed and threw them on the bed of the new room because that room wasn’t ready for guests. There were no trash bags in the barrels. No soap, no shampoo or conditioner. The tv worked until I shut it off and then when I turned it back on it didn’t work. I went back to the main house spoke with a manager who pushed the blame on a manager that isn’t there and dealing with cancer. The woman in front of me checking out said she had no hot water and the best he could do there was compliment her jacket. It’s a shame because it has potential but to waste over $200 just hits below the belt

After reading some of the reviews here I was skeptical about our stay, but I will say, this place definitely exceeded our expectations! Staff was very nice and accommodating . Food (breakfast tacos, yum!) and beverages (best cosmos by Jake!) were excellent. Bed, and pillows were so comfortable probably the best nights sleep I’ve gotten in a long time! Will definitely be returning during the summers months.

Went to the Surf club the week of 8/4, we got 2 Premier Ocean facing rooms. The rooms did not match the picture they had on the website for $459 a night. One was not ready at check in, the girl at the desk was not friendly to say the least. Once we got the second room the key's that we were given did not work and had to walk back to the office with bags in the rain. The rooms were marketed as 300 sq feet, they were not close. The only pictures that matched were the bathroom. As I said it was raining and for some reason there was nothing on the roof to protect the outside doorways from water soaking you as you entered, all outside doors were held open with a rock witch intern soaked the carpet floors. These doors were left open all night. We were on the front second floor with wonderful views of the sunrise, light house and beach. At night we could hear every step from the occupant's above us. One night the room next to us got in a drunk fight at 1 am and we could here all of that as well. They did not have any food in the office (pic's online showing food) an all they had was one pot of coffee. Overall, the location is great! $459 a night just overpriced with zero amenities as pictured online!

Perfect location and great room,I'm not sure why there are negative reviews for this place. Friendly staff, super quick check in and the room was great! They've made some nice upgrades and it feels quite modern. Went for a swim in the salt water pool and the view of the beach was amazing. We've stayed at hotels in the area before at similar price points and this was a much better experience.

Reviews for this hotel are a polarized mix, but since some travelers have reported good experiences we booked a $400 ocean view room hoping for a romantic weekend stay. When we arrived at the front desk we were given the key card for room 305, and after carrying our luggage up 3 flights of stairs we discovered the door of the room was ajar, the bed looked lumpy as if someone had been sitting on it. The balcony door faced another building and offered a sliver view of the ocean, but the screen had completely fallen out of the track. We headed back down to the front desk and the clerk who had checked us in rolled his eyes as if he knew what we were going to say. We asked why the door was ajar and were told that it was a known problem, and that we could deadbolt the door from the inside but the card key lock for that room wasn't working, and there'd be no way to lock the room while were weren't in it. That was totally unacceptable to us. The hotel made no attempt to address the situation (possibly because it was a weekend and they were sold out), and the front desk clerk became argumentative. Since no other rooms were available, and the clerk said that since we already checked in at the front desk they wouldn't offer a refund, we cancelled the booking with the credit card company and scrambled to find alternate accommodations. My advice to anyone still thinking about staying here would be to ask to view the assigned room before officially checking in at the front desk, and to have a backup plan in case the booking doesn't meet an appropriate level of hospitality.

For the price point, this was such a disappointment of a beach front property. We were there for 4 nights. Housekeeping came 0 times. Asking for 2 towels seemed like a big deal 2 nights in. The mattress is very soft. There’s no food anywhere on premise, not even a vending machine. For those who have already been charged for their upcoming stay, here are a few recommendations- 1. Ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor room facing the water. The first floor rooms seem like they’d be loud and every time a car parks or leaves, the lights can be seen in the room. There are no blackout curtains. 2. Bring everything from home. Hangers, towels, your own wifi. Our TV couldn’t connect to the iPad despite troubleshooting with a staff member. We were met with a shrug, and the statement “sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t”. Bring snacks, water, drinks, cups. They give you 3 disposable coffee cups for the entirety of the stay. There are 0 food options. 3. There are no activities for children. Mostly we saw kids playing lacrosse or baseball in the parking lot. I didn’t hear about any car damage but I can’t imagine it being ideal nor safe. The pool is there, but there are limited umbrellas. The grass by the “bungalows” is overgrown. They look like the set of a horror movie. Good luck to all those who end up staying here. I hope this property improves and guests have a better experience.
