Nothing overly impressive. The fire alarm going off repeatedly during the night was really annoying and took quite a while for someone to show up and turn it off. Was also a little concerning if it was working properly. The fire chief was very polite. Not sure about the staff since none were on site and never saw them once the fire department allowed us to re-enter the building.

The room was modern historic. Loved the tiled bathroom. The balcony was unusable due to the 3 different wasp nests in each corner. The thermostat does not change the temperature of the ac unit and we couldn't figure out howtochangeiton the wall unit. Check-in was easy via a code texted to your phone. I requested to check in earlier than 4pm and was told that they would text me if the room was serviced earlier. Ww arrived at 2 and waited in the common lobby area, but never saw housekeeping and had to wait until precisely 4pm for the room code to work. Easily walkable to restaurants and shopping.

Even thought there is no staff they are only a text away. The location is perfect being only a short walk to Bay St. Comfortable and clean rooms.

Modern room in a historic building
We were very surprised but in a good way. The room was small, but because of the high ceilings and the types of furniture used it was cozy instead of claustrophobic. The shower and bathroom were above quality for this type of room. The fridge and bar area was just right. We only came one night, but our next stay will be longer.

This is an excellent choice in downtown Beaufort, and we’ll stay here again. Having an included bike rental is a real perk. We enjoyed biking around town and the Spanish Moss Trail. Walkable to all restaurants and shopping, but quiet.

Great location and easy walk to downtown. We would have given the property 5 stars except for the following two things. 1) Door to balcony wouldnt shut properly and let in air and light. 2) the floors creak and could hear the folks above us everytime they moved. Other than that room was nice, clean and had all the amenities. No front desk but no need for one.
