Our flight from Lahad Datu to Kota Kinabalu was cancelled late in the day so we had to find some accommodation at the last minute for the night. The owner and his staff were really friendly and welcoming after we'd had quite a stressful day. The rooms were spacious and clean, the air-con and hot water all worked well. The kitchen wasn't open that night but the owner offered us to use the eating area for an order-in of food and there were cold beers we could buy from the fridge which were welcome. The breakfast was basic but really good and the owner offered us some of the homemade treats that his wife had made. They were able to take us to the airport as well which was helpful.
